    Age test: who remember this item or even use it now? One of my customers from Germany asked me to make such pattern. Firstly I tried to make original size I wanted to make it realistic, but it came out very fragile and impossible to cut. I had to removed some details but it was look too simple. So I increesed pattern twise (pattern size is 8 x 5 inches) and here is final variant. I know that it looks like 3D cutting or with carving elements, but pattern is simpler than it appears, it is just glued layers without floating elements (one layer - one piece) Pattern at https://alexscrollsaw.com

    Usually when I make pattern I study the object of pattern, I am look throught a lot of images, in this case I also listen some tracks and I like it. Do you listen country music? What do you recommend, I think I like modern country more.     Most of my patterns and projects are animals, butterflies, sealife etc, but sometimes I want to make something different and unusual. Here is my new pattern: Devil skull - project could be assembled without gluing, with dowels. It consists of 47 pieces and 2 dowels, recommended size: 4,5 x 3,5 x 5,5 inches.     I agree, it is the simplest one, but 13 layers make such great looking effect. Some scrollers dont cut all pieces, I understand that smallest pieces are most difficult, but more layers - better effect. Nice cutting.

    3/4" is recommended thickness. Unfortunately I dont have an opportunity to cut and test it by myself, but I looked throught some forums and find out that scrollers use 1/2"-1" inch thickness, depends on project size. Recommended hummingbird size about 8x9", also I think it is more stable if you want for the project to stand, but if you want just assembling puzzles you can use thiner wood

    Pattern is correct, some pieces have lines, such way I add more details and avoid small puzzle pieces. Waiting for photos of finished project

    New year - new patterns. I have arleady made many types of patterns (bowls, 3D, fretwork, layered), but I have never made puzzles. So I tried to make some and and here is what came out. What do you think? Do you make puzzles? Puzzle patterns

    Here is my new Celtic cross, it is 5th one, I dont know why but they are quite popular, I just like them because it consists geometric ornaments and has 3D effect Celtic cross pattern

    The first thing I want to say is that I know nothing about motorcycles, so dont judge strictly. Secondly it is not exact pattern of some motorcycle model. I took some details from different photos, I made it to not violate copyright of famous brands, so I think it came out general pattern of cruisers motorcycle. What do you think? Pattern includes 2 sizes (10 x 5 and 15 x 7,5 inches), recommended to use 2 types of wood or stains. Motorcycle pattern
