  1. I have ordered from Wooden Teddy Bear for many years.... not sure abuot the UK shipping but they have always been great to work with.
  2. I always have multiple projects going.... right now I have 9 clocks cut and in bins ready for sanding, staining, and assembly. I have two more clocks in the process of being cut. I also have two scenes about 1/2 done, a wolf scene and an old barn. and getting a jump on Christmas I have 3 sleighs ready for cutting. and now I have 4 wood burning projects ready to start and 1 in progress. If or when I get bored with one piece I move to another and then come back to it later I
  3. I thought about the top and bottom on the "O" I agree
  4. In many ways I am like Kevin.... I want to get it done as soon as possible after I start. My solution is to have a number of projects in the works. When done staining I have other things to work on in various stages... some being layed out to start on some still in the sawing stage some in the sanding stage Others in the staining stage and in the case of clocks ... some in the finishing and assembly stage. and my new pastime when I am waiting or need a break -- pyrography - wood burning ... (which I plan to incorporate into some scroll saw projects I just received my wood burner and attached is my first attempt .... a basic design but somewhat successful. Now working on more intricate designs and practicing shading Not sure why picture is sideways but you get the idea
  5. Jim If it we me, on the "O" I would open the bottom of the inner circle - very small as when you look at it I think your eye goes to the top of the letter on the "R" I would open the bottom of the loop - very narrow to maintain letter integrity Others may have another idea
  6. Jim Not familiar with that font .... any samples ??
  7. Nice job on the pattern and the cutting..... Did you stack and cut a couple extra?
  8. The meds must not be affecting your scrolling capabilities.... looking good!!!
  9. Congratulations. Something to be proud of .... great job
  10. thanks for a great Idea....
  11. Great looking cutting boards My new "toy" arrived on Friday.... When I give my scroll saw(s) a break I am going to delve into pyrography .... wood burning. I bought this to take to the lake when I go to the "cabin" this summer instead of taking all my carving knives and wood for carving. I will let you know how it goes

  17. pretty good for 1st attempt I have not tried cutting on vinyl yet It is on my bucket list
  18. When I buy felt from Joann's fabrics or Hobby Lobby it is sold by the yard.... each roll is 36 inches wide... sometimes wider. a couple yards gets a piece 36 inches wide by 72 inches long .... a lot to works with for $10 to $15 depending on sale prices and a wide variety of colors. when I am framing pictures (usually 8x10 or 11x14 I will pre-cut a lot of pieces .
  19. Nice looking clock ... I have the pattern but have not yet created it .... getting inspired
  20. Depending on the piece.... some I use felt on the bottom.. I have used felt dots On most of my desk clocks, If I don't use felt, I will add "feet" to the bottom of the clock as shown in this picture. I have a selection of buttons and knobs I use as feet. they are unfinished so can be stained to match the project. all types available from Bearwoods. But if I put felt on a piece I still cut it to fit from a larger piece and glue it on.
  21. I have never used peel and stick felt I buy felt from JoAnn's Fabrics or Hobby Lobby by the yard and cut the pieces I need .... Many times at JoAnn's Fabrics using my wife's coupons I can save 50-60%. I have about 5-6 colors I use Black, Navy Blue, Dark Green, 2 shades of Dark Brown and Burgandy...unless I see a unique color I want to try There are different quality felt but for backing my projects the quality does not come into play I sometimes use spray adhesive but usually Eileen's Tacky Glue
  22. This is the pedal I use on my Dewalt and Excalibur saws... have been using this pedal for 6 - 7 years Available in Amazon for about $23.00
  23. Great review.... I just bought an EX -30 last year and its just getting broken in.... also have an older EX-21 and 788 type 1 .... probably won't need a new saw for a while
  24. Many dragons ... seems time would just drag on cutting all of them
  25. Nice work on the plaque.... I don't follow baseball either but the Minnesota Twins won their season opener for the first time in many years.... Look out!! the twins are on a winning streak
