  1. The blade insert got me problems too. Saw a suggestion somewhere to attach a playing card to the top. It has worked so far and I was a bit creative, sort of. My stepson suggesting using the Ace of Spades,so it would look 'cool'. He may have actually been right, but I will deny, deny, deny if he ever gets wind of that. LOL. Here's a pic of the updated insert.
  2. I had seen this tip somewhere also, then when I started cutting I plumb forgot about it till now. Thanks guys!! We have a cigar shop here that sells wood boxes for $5 each. I've gone and looked a few times, but the owner seems to always be in a deep conversation with a tobacco customer. I am hoping to get him alone and chat a bit, buy a few of the boxes and possibly get a discount for volume sales. The ones I have seen in the stacks of boxes so far, are a bit high priced for $5. Maybe I'm just cheap, I dunno.
  3. Love the logo, Ken. I have DL'd the dragon design by Bobscroll, but yet to cut it. Wonderful collaboration.
  4. Welcome, Don. Greetings from Alaska and be sure to share some photos of your work.

  6. Thank you for all the kind comments. Been busy here lately with family, so the 'man-woman glitter' making has been on pause. The weekend looks promising though.
  7. I have gotten a bit of saw time in the past week or two. Here are 2 of them. The first one for me (Ace of Spades Design, from here at SSV), the second for my wife's B-day (found online).

  10. Great looking puzzles, Joe (cool first name btw). I hadn't thought about cutting that type of puzzle before, so TY. I have a few photos that should make good scenic puzzles from here in Alaska. Joe
  11. Different isn't always bad. The new look take s bit of getting used to, but by next month, it will seem normal.
  12. Well, that's kind of cool... and good to know, I guess. Thanks for the info.

  18. I have used Go2Glue as the household 'super glue for a year or so now. I love it too.
  19. Thank you, Travis. I always worry it's the modem or ISP when I have problems getting a site to load.
  20. I have 4 projects going atm...a sign for the door to my 'wreck room', as my wife refers to it, 2 tattoo-style plaques and a fretwork tiger from SSWC magazine. The tiger needs a bit of a fix. One of the bridges broke as I cut it. Not difficult to fix, but have to be 'living right' the day I tackle it. Joe
  21. Super Cool, John!!! You are a credit and asset to your community.
  22. Not sure how tall it is, Dan,but I would pay $35 - 40 for it without blinking twice. Just my 2 cents.
