  1. That’s awesome. A lot of detail in that piece.
  2. I’ve been scrolling for a few years, but if my work was closely examined, I still have flaws.
  3. First things first, the projects look great. Second: The use of the word Xmas should never be used in place of Christmas. Christmas is a time to remember the birth of our Lord and Savior. His name should not be x’ed out.
  4. I’m starting to have a similar problem with my hagner. Did you ever find a solution? Any help would appreciated. Thanks
  5. Where can the patterns be found? They look great and I’d like to try to make some.
  6. I bought the blades just for this project. Maybe I should have ordered #6’s. I’ll have to keep trying different things. Using a size smaller should be the cause.
  7. I’m using Pegus #5 super skip.
  8. I’ve been trying to make compound cuts in 1 1/2 maple but the wood keeps getting burn marks. I’ve tried slowing my feed rate, adjusting blade speed, and rapping the piece with clear packing tape. I can use oak without the burning, but can’t figure out how to use maple without burning. Anyone have any advise.
  9. Thanks. I’ll be ordering a couple of them soon. (Waiting to see how much money the wife will let me spend)
  10. Thank you. I’m not seeing the three boxes.
  11. I was hoping you all could help me out. I’m looking for something I seen on this site awhile back. I don’t know who posted it but I think it was called “Business in a box”. It was patterns to make custom Christmas ornaments. If anyone can help me out, I’d appreciate it. Thanks.
  12. I’ve been cutting Christmas ornaments lately. Its been a good way to use the small pieces laying around my shop. The patterns are from Sheila Landry Designs.
  13. I met a cabinet maker a few month ago through the VFW. He started saving some of his cutoffs for me and I picked them up yesterday. Started sorting thru it and this is what I sorted out so far. The left side is Alder, the right is Oak. Just getting started, I’ll be at this all day
  14. Does anyone know what happened to dndsawblades? Tried to order blades and site is down. Been down for awhile.
  15. I’ve been having problems with my blades breaking on my Hegner. Everyone breaks in the same place. The photo shows where it is breaking, that’s the top 1/2” of the blade. Not sure what to do. Any help would be appreciated.
  16. Thanks to all who replied. I made a few adjustments and it seems to be working better.
  17. I’m having problems with my Hegner, it keeps breaking blades. You can see in the photo where they are breaking, and I can’t figure out why. The blades are pegas #5 and it’s a hagner quick clamp. Does anyone know how to fix this?
  18. My wife just ordered me a new Hegner scroll saw, she is the best wife ever. I’ll be posting pictures when it arrives and it’s set up. (pics of the saw, not the wife. LOL)
  19. This is my first attempt making a clock. I had the pattern for years but never cut it. Pattern is from Wildwood Designs. Cherry Tree Toys has two of their arrowheads, but haven’t been able to find the others since the two merged.
  20. I designed this Razorback ornament the other day. My first attempt at drawing my own design. I need to make a few modifications, but I think it turned out good for the first one.
  21. Just wondering if there are any scrollers out there from northern Arkansas or southern Missouri.
  22. I just fixed mine Monday. Pop the first piece off and stick it back on. If it’s like mine, it will go back on hard.
  23. I’m having trouble with my saw and can’t figure it out. I have my speed set, and while cutting, the speed picks up and then slows back down. Almost like if you where in a car, hit the gas, and let off the accelerator. I don’t use a foot petal, so that’s not the issue. Please, let me know if you have any ideas.
  24. Just bought this board for $35. The store is going out of business and everything is discounted. The man who owned it just past away and his wife just wants everything gone. It’s 48 x 17 x 1 1/8.
  25. The wood is1/8” thick, I used a number two blade, and I did stack cut and cut all four at one time.
