  1. I always enjoy cutting this pattern. Not sure what this white oak board used to be nailed to.
  2. That looks so good. Great job. That would look so cool in the service department of a car dealership.
  3. Fantastic pattern and a great job bringing it to life. I agree about the smile being worth more than money.
  4. Thank you. Did it with a belt sander. I went over the edges a bit more after this picture with my orbital sander and it removed some stain and made the uneven edges stand out a bit more. Then put on a satin clear coat.
  5. Did another one today with a doe and fawn. I used a free paper cutting template for the deer. Got my inspiration from Kimberly Francis. My daughter drew the happy little tree. The font is called Daydreamer, I tweaked it on Inkscape. It’s 9” x 12” on 3/4 pine.
  6. That's right Les. It's with all the tile.
  7. You used to be able to buy it by the piece at Lowes but now they only sell it by the case which is 10 or 12 pieces I think so it's not that bad. I went there to buy some a couple of weeks ago and ran into a friend who told me he had lots of it left over from his kitchen stacked outside his garage. So I've got a great supplier but it may be a long drive for you.
  8. Some of you are probably already familiar with this lady's work but I just stumbled onto it. Beautiful stuff. I'm curious if she cut this on an angle, on one side it looks like you're looking at it from the left, vise versa on the other. Here's a link to her page. https://www.kimberleyfrancis.com/samples.html
  9. Cut this great pattern by @baggetta today. Sadly I think I used the last useable piece of spalted oak I have on this one. Used slate as a base again. I'm using epoxy to mount it.
  10. By far the cutest giraffe I've seen. Great job. I went to my shop for the same reason. Most of the time things are brighter when I leave.
  11. Yes it is. It came off the same board as the Live In The Moment piece from yesterday. The pattern for this one is in the pattern library.
  12. Thanks to @joscrolls for a simple but beautiful pattern. Aptly mounted on slate. Just noticed the tennis racket in the corner. It's for swatting Carpenter Bee's, not tennis balls.
  13. Great job!
  14. Great looking pieces. Love the Buffalo.
  15. Nice job. Got the theme song playing in my head right now.
  16. I agree with everybody. Not a one day job for me. Beautiful!
  17. Pretty sure it's White Oak, with some spalting on the top edge.
  18. Now if I can just do it.
  19. Yes, it' slate tile. I have a wet saw for tile.
  20. Simple project that should have been fairly quick took me most of the day. After cutting sanding and finishing the wood part I dropped it and it broke pretty much in half. I was able to prune a couple of limbs and glue it back together. Tried four different backers. Wound up with a slate backer and base. Glad I'm not trying to make a living at this!
  21. Great job! Last one is my favorite.
  22. Thanks! I'll give that a try!
  23. Great job! And yes she has!
  24. Very cool! High quality work there. How do you glue the picture to the plywood. Any secret to not having white lines on the cuts. I haven't tried puzzles, this makes me want to. My grandson loves them.
