Well, I don't think I was being particularly hammer-fisted, but I stripped out the bloody thumbscrew on the top chuck of my Ex21.
Can keep on going though by swapping the Allen screw and the thumb screw around to opposite sides. Bit the bullet and ordered a set of Pegas replacements from QTE. Don't even ask how much with the exchange rate.
On Monday I will see if there is a machine shop that can fit helicoils to my spare top chuck, Yes I've done it before
Good to know I'm not alone Les
I have been guilty of gluing a portrait to a backer in reverse, Nobody would have known which way the person was supposed to look, but the text gave me away
Here's how I found the font I came up with. I downloaded Dave's picture, cropped the font he wanted and uploaded it to this site.
It's the 1st time I have done this, but I can see it coming in handy at times. https://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/
21 was the coming of age, when you had the right to vote, drink and make your own way in life. As Steve said, 18 is the big party now days.
Here is the traditional song 21 Song
Not sure if people still have big twenty first birthday parties and get presented with keys.
The 1st one I made for my daughter, before I new about purchasing small photo frames. It opens for signatures. The second for my Cousin's Son (She placed photos in it before presenting it on the night
I think Christine's is pine and merranti and the other is pine and jarrah with his name in Sandalwood.
I like the new banner
I have blade and drill bit laminated to piece of paper with the wording, Hand cut, no CNC or Lasers.
Actual size of blade and drill bit. Also a photo of a scroll saw.
I just show people that and it gets rather a good reaction when they see how tiny things are.
Thanks Ralph, The colours of the backgrounds didn't show up, except for the pink. The cats have glitter on black felt, in my wild imagination they look like a few ally cats sitting on a fence, on starry night. The Mum has deep purple felt.
No more so than any other spray acrylic. I have a bit of a spray booth set up in my shed (well really a low bench, a fluro light and an exhaust fan). It says to thin 20% but do closer to 50%.
Either 2 or 3 coats cutting back between each with 320g paper.. Dries nice and quick so I don't have to wait long before not having to worry about dust.
G'day all,
The 1st 4 of a new batch of tissue boxes. These I finished with the Automotive clear.
I don't think I have posted these particular patterns before, if so I apologise.
I have included 2 face on shots as they show the pattern clearly, take with my phone. I'm a bit of a novice taking photos with a phone (They should not be able to do that)" The individual ones I used my camera.
I forgot to tell the timbers. The white is Radiata Pine and the red is Marri. It's a bastard for splinters but the look makes it worthwhile. http://www.fpc.wa.gov.au/about-us/publications/species/marri
Cheers
I was in a Transport Company and every time we'd bring the trucks or any vehicle for that matter back to the Depo. we'd grab a gallon of Olive Green and a 4" brush and slap it on any scratches etc In some places I think they where bullet proof because of all the paint
We used to have 10 pubs in the two blocks on the main street in Kalgoorlie, I bet they would have sold by the dozens. Good on you for supporting charities.
I fitted 400g emery paper to a 1/4 sheet sander gave the table a once over and now every month or so give them a buffing with bee's wax. Table saw, band saw, and scroll saw. No chance of contaminates interfering with any polish I wish to use on the project and makes the tables pretty slick.
