  1. It really isn't difficult, don't let the 'terminology' put you off. I do it all the time and I'm no computer whizz kid. It takes 10 steps (10 clicks of the mouse) it sounds a lot but takes less then 5 minutes. Happy to write these down if anyone is interested.
  2. I've seen the pattern, but the gentleman that asked for a copy doesn't belong to this forum so I thought I'd ask first as I have no wish to offend anyone or fall foul of the scrollsaw worlds rules.
  3. Late to the party, but I put all my patterns through Inkscape and resize to fit my wood. Turn everything Grey with a red outline that is the width of my blade and bingo. !!

  6. Simply Stunning!
  7. I sat and wept at this news. Les was always someone who would listen and help. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him. You will be sadly missed my friend and my heart goes out to Faye and your daughter at this most awful of times. We never met but I feel like I've lost another much loved friend. RIP. I hope someone who knows his family can copy all the heartfelt messages that are on here, I'm sure it will be a little comfort to know that he was so loved and respected amongst the scrolling community.
  8. Goodness, I'm flattered and humbled, but I can assure you that a brilliant pattern goes a long way to making a cutter look good too.! Thank you for your kind words, they are very much appreciated. May I ask a question without causing offense ? I've been asked where this pattern could be bought from and I have no idea. Do you have a 'site' where I can direct interested people to ? I don't like to 'share' other peoples patterns as I know it's frowned upon in the scrollsaw world. With Kind Regards. Brenda
  9. Thank you. I agree with you about the dogs though. People make bad dogs though, my lot kissed the people who burgled us last year !!
  10. Must admit, it's the best Rottie pattern that I've ever seen. !
  11. Thankyou, the Shepherds are fine, I did them one on the router
  12. A lovely pattern by Jim Blume. I couldn't resist cutting it. Straight off the saw so no finish or frame yet. Done on an A4 sheet of 3mm b/b and #2 Niqua blades.
  13. Like them all but love the flowers. Glad to hear that your recovery is doing well.
  14. Mmm, says 'Unavailable'
  15. Stunning !
  16. I've always 'cut' as a hobby. Something to keep me entertained through my retirement. I've usually cut whatever took my fancy. I enjoy seeing 'something' appear out of what is essentially a plain piece of wood, it gives me lots of pleasure. However, I was asked to do this for a friends wife, but, not only that, I was told on Saturday evening that it's her birthday on Wednesday so would it be ready by then ??? I've cut a 'simpler' version of what was required. I must admit though that 'rushing' to get it cut/glued/oiled/varnished. was not enjoyable. This picture is what I've done today, and the pieces are just resting on top of one another. I now have a tremendous respect for those that do this for a living. Cutting to order and working to deadlines is not for me. I take my hat off to all those 'workers' out there. !!
  17. Late to the party I know. The only 'beach' thing I've ever done.

Thank you. This is the first time I've attempted something this thick so was very pleased to actually do it. I've always done 3mm + 6mm before so this was quite an expedition into the unknown for me.

Haven't been doing much cutting this last couple of months but was asked to do this. I'm not a religious person and it's something I've never attempted before. It's 11"x 6½" + ¾" thick. Done with some pine wood. A Terence Thomas pattern.
  20. There are some that look like that under 'Gothic' that I've used before. Gorgeous pieces !!
  21. Welcome to the Village from this side of the pond, it's a great place to be. Help is always at hand and freely given. I too do mainly animal related pieces.
  22. Lovely work, it will be much loved I'm sure !
  23. It's for my daughter, she's always kept 'pet' rats ..
  24. Never thought of that and now I can't get the song out of my head !!!
  25. ¼" plywood - 12" x 11" because I misjudged my cutting H.Botas pattern
