    No, I will use adhesive strips, they are very effective. I hang all my pictures with them 'Command Strips'

    I went looking for cat pair silhouette online, found this generic pic and put it through inkscape. I can send you what I made if you like.

    Going to visit my best friend next week and she asked for this. It's grey formica on one side and oiled wood on the other so she can decide which she prefers. To date she wants a pair but not sure which material. I love her dearly but goodness she can be so indecisive sometimes.

    It's going as it is onto my wall in the house. As my walls are 'cream' I find I quite like the effect. Haven't got a photo of it on the wall but here's one I cut out of wood that's already up.

    This had some kind of plastic film on both sides so I'm presuming that is what helped with the cutting

    Decided to try cutting acrylic and it worked out well. Although this was 3mm, A4 sheet of acrylic but it felt like cutting 6mm, you had to let the blade do the work. I used a #3 Niqua blade and had no problems with any melting that I had anticipated. So all in all quite a good experience. Not easy to photograph though as it's so reflective.

    Simple, but always received with thanks. I cut 'memorial' paws for any of my owners that have lost a much loved pet. Not hard to do, but it's the thought that counts I guess. Unfortunately in the last year we've lost 4 from our 'Foxfold' family.

    There were no 'inappropriate words' used to find this. I realise they look nothing like 'you' would call a mop, which is why I said it's a cultural/language difference. These are Silverline 'mops' and use quite commonly over here. I've had mine for 3 years, never had a problem with it and it came from Glasgow. The type of 'mop' you use is not easily available here on this side of the pond. ! If you put 'Sanding Mop' into a UK search line you get something like this.     Having just done a piece for myself, see below, I thought that cutting it in something just as thin but more robust than plywood would be worth a try. So I've bought some 3mm black acrylic sheets A4 so that I can give it a go. Any 'tips' before I start ? This stuff doesn't come that cheap over here so I'd prefer not to make a pigs ear out of it if possible.

    I use a sanding mop in an upside down drill. It's 120 grit. Done this for a few years now and never had a problem. 20220530_121543[1].mp4

    Hello everyone. Finally after a year from Hades I'm back on my saw. It's been a roller coaster of a year which has meant that my saw has been sat in the shed alone Have missed you all dreadfully, but happy to be back amongst friends. Going to spend a while catching up on all the topics and getting my shed in order so that I can continue with my scrolling. My first cut in over a year, done just for me. 3mm ply painted black to sit on my cream wall.

    I have used spirals but to me it feels like skating on ice. so I tend to use flat blades on everything. Spirals are brilliant I think but I never persevered with them enough to feel comfortable with them. I find I can everything with flat blades, usually a #3.

    The two that I noticed were, as you mentioned 'napkin holders' and also 'name' plaques. I did a lot of both. Then along came the 'Gnomes'.. I haven't done one yet

    I haven't heard of this, but it sounds like a good idea. I have mine bolted to my work bench with a piece of 2"x2" under the back of the saw.. There will be a fair few answers to this question I would imagine as most seem to have scrollsaw stands.

    Nice work ! Would using applying the pattern directly to the wood with a repositionable spray glue which can be removed with a wipe of white spirit help with the delamination ?
