  1. Are the eagles cut with the scroll saw? Very nice.
  2. Thank you Ben that’s a great suggestion. We do have a table saw that would be able to do what you explained. I bought the table saw for Christmas present for my sweetheart about 10 years ago and the only person who has used it is the carpenter guy we hired to help us build a bar in the basement. After seeing pictures like @Scrappile hand and reading other gruesome stuff I’m scared to give it a try. And my husband well he’s not comfortable using it either. I guess stack the present up to” it was the thought that counts”.
  3. Hi Les, I bought 5 clocks patterns a couple of years ago and wanted to make everyone in the family a clock. However not having access to 1/8 and 1/4 inch hardwood and not having the ability to thin the wood myself. I've been struggling to decide whether or not the use BBply. As dgman said I also want to make them a heirloom so I'll wait till I have the proper wood. That being said, if you decide to make yours from BBply I ran across this article the other day which might help you with your staining process. https://www.rockler.com/learn/layered-color-special-effects-stain
  4. That looks great Dick. You’ve done a very nice piece. Well done.
  5. Very nice projects, you’ve done a great job. My mom use to say that all the time “ this that and the other thing” in her Dutch accent. I miss her.
  6. I have a brother printer that will print Ledger (11” X 17”). Pedro puts them on A3 (11 3/4 X 16 1/2) the sizes are out a smidge but it seems to work. @Scrappile in fact the brother printer is able to print A3 size paper, but I can’t find anywhere to buy A3 paper locally.
  7. Double purpose great idea and it looks good too. Well done.
  8. I had the same problem as you. Someone on here had said spray the back of the pattern wait till the spray gets tacky then place it on the blank wood. I rub the pattern down real good then wait 5 or 10 mins before cutting. So this is what I do now and I haven’t had that problem since.
  9. Ben, Pedro has great easy to follow plans. I’ve cut a few of his stuff already. I order and get the plans pdf to my email right away.

  24. You’re right Dick I should have sanded the stem and added a leaf, wish I would have though of that at the time. Actually my daughter-in-law’s mother liked it so much she bought herself a scroll saw just to make the hummingbird. Now she makes a variety of things.
  25. That’s great.
