  1. Oh I just love it!!! I collect Dragons....many of which i make could you tell me where i could get a pattern for it? I think a dragon clock would look great on my dragon shelf!!. not surew which woodworking magazine that pattern is in....iv seen a lot of dragon clocks but none that i liked as much as the one you made
  2. Those are so cute!!! you did a great job!!
  3. They all look great but i to love the dalpin ( Iv given up on saying someday i will learn to spell lol) The waves are fantastic!!! did you make the pattern yourself? I could see those waves put a little differently with a serfer on it, and maybe a beach humm wounder how that would work lol
  4. I simply love the serenty prayer!! Iv seen a lot of patterns like that but have never been brave enough to try one. Iv learned from this group that the biggest problem i have in doing such intercet work is i need to buy a better grade of plywood for that kind of cutting... once i get a good working scroll saw i'' come back here and ask what is the best wood and thickness to use for such a project and give it a try...and i love the stain on both projects!!
  5. great puzzle!!! and yup once word gets out you could be a much busyer person!
  6. Growing up my mother nick named me clamity jane....there was a reason for that lol its not so much that i am clumbsy....which i am to a small degree....but because no matter what it is im doing my mind is on the next thing on my list lol....Now i do have a foot stool on my lazy boy...but the handle is broken for putting the foot stool up and down...we have a visegrip on the handle but I am unfrountly not strong enough to use it. I got around that problem by simply leaving the foot stool up all the time and it has worked great until recently....For what ever reason these days when im getting in and out of my chair I seem to be tripping over the foot stool. falling into the chair is no proublem, but falling while getting out...is not as soft lol an spike is afraid im going to fall one of these days and break something....I dont think my bones are that brittle yet but since i dont really like falling out of my chair i suggested we just get a regular footstool. We could not believe how much footstools cost these days!! geezz!! or you proubly do know. Well I told spike im not paying that much for something just to put my feet on and suggested we just make one. after all there not that hard to make. now i wanted him to leave the box opened so i could put things in it but he said no....because i would stuff it full of everything but the kitchen sink and make it to heavy to move even with wheels on it. any way here are some pictures of what we have done so far. we just used wood we had in the wood shop. thie first picture is of the footstool with out a top on it.The second picture is of the bottom of the footstool and a picture of the footstool with the wooden top laying on top of it. and the last picture is the footstool with the foam sitting on the top.we picked up some upholistry materal to cover the foam with . Its a dark brown and i will see about putting that on tomarrow. I had thought of doing some carving on the sides but this wood is recycled from the first tort we built for sissy which was to small and besides I decided I could put pockits on the sides of the footstool if I cover it. The sides wont match the top because the upholstry materal i have here is light or dark gray. I'll use which ever is big enough to go all the way around the 4 sides. Now i was going to put machine emboridy on the materal I use for the pockets BUT i found some pretty flower uphouslty materal in my stash and im going to use that instead....for one thing its stronger then just regular materal and i'll use the pockets to put my external hard drive and my external cd drive in. as well as my case with all my jump drives in it. There will be at least 4 pockets depending onhow big i make each pocket. I'll put my note books in one of the pockets and i'll most likely make a smaller pocket on that pocket to put pens in as i can NEVER find my pens lol and i know my little camcorder/ camra in a little pocket to.... this is of course a work in progress and we have no pattern for making it so were just playing it by ear lol so depending on how things go the covers for it might change lol . Iv also got the few woodcarvings iv done polyurthined and waiting for them to dry. I didnt take pics of them yet because there with the 3d printed projects iv finished painting and polyurthing... When they dry i'll put those pictures up to.... not sure what im going to do next lol

  10. a beautiful project
  11. i love it!! could you tell me how you colored it to make it look so realistic
  12. simply beautiful! now if i could find one with a dragons head on it lol but first getting a working scroll saw lol tomarrow i have another drs appoment...then maybe spike can take a second look at the dewalt and the pictures i have on here....never fails when you have something you want to do life just manages to toss things in the way! geezz!
  13. lol well since I do so many different crafts I have an entire room full of yarns and fabric for knittinig crocheting and sewing lol and i often intermix them together. Im starting a new crochet project tomarrow.....Im going to crochet my russon turt a simple shell cover to look sort of like a saddle and then im going to put some velrow on that and the other half on the bottom of a 3d printed knob so it will look like the knob is ridding on a turt to where ever knobs roam to lol I also have 2 small doors i cut out last summer to put together and paint and then I can nail them to the big old tree stump we have in the front yard....lol and im trying to figure out the best way to take some tree branchees to make a tee ter totter and a swing set and maybe a bbq grill to put on one side of the stump on the top to sort of make like a play ground when they cut down the tree they didnt cut it all stright across , one side of the top of the stump is higher then the other. On the higher side I need to figure out how to make like a roof over the tree stump house, I could then make like a little door on the side of the higher part of the stump leading out to the play ground airea....humm or maybe take some plairn and make like a roap ladder going down from the roof to the lower part of the stump...humm well i have the ideas lol now we will see if i can actually make it work lol and i know i cut out some compound cut knobs from here i think that would be just the right size for my little knob house....im going to have to go through the patterns here and see if i can find it...it would be a lot easer then searching through like 40 some odd years full of patterns....lol now if that sounds like im not very orginized its because im not!!! lol
  14. Thank you so much for the instructions for the shut the box game!
  15. what a great idea!! humm wounder if i can sort of tweek it a bit and use real sticks to make them? something to think on

  17. Thanks for sending this along i love making toys!! and some of them i can make for my grandson and the hocky one i can make for my daughter and her husband lol the hocky fans lol
  18. what a wounderful gift for a hocky fan!!! My son in law is a hocky nutt and would love a table like that.....however I have no intentions on buying a bunch of hocky sticks to make a table....lol hum wounder if you could use a hocky stick to make a pattern and then cut out a bunch of them to put together as a table....but then again it wouldnt really be the same would it lol
  19. how wounderful! and intreguing...how is the game played?
  20. What a beautiful peace!! im sure what ever you put on it will look wounderful
  21. simply beautiful, and a nice plan fabric could set in the bowl to keep the m&ms from falling out, the right peace of cloth would bring out the beauty of the wood and the wounderful scrolling it took to make it
  22. simply beautiful!
  23. just read the post with the dialog....I KNEW after owing 2 dewalts that the blade SHOUD fit...just couldnt figure out why this one isnt....now the mistory is slove!! Spikes going to look at it as soon as he done eating....he might wait until tomarrow to actualy fix it....as for me im going to lie down now for a bit... lol driving all the way to kallamzoo and back plus getting the 30 some odd shots tends to wear me out these days lol
  24. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you....I was having some problems with my headaces and migrines....it happens sometimes when im close to needing my next series of shots...frontly I got my shots this morning so I should be feeling better by tomarrow. I'll show this set of messages to spike and i'll take a look at it tomarrow too. Thank you all so much...I didnt intend to be missing a few days after we talked.
  25. lol Your right, and spike puts me to shame...hes 10 years older then me and is in perfect health! all he takes is one bp med a day, where as i have like 10 different scripts I have to remember to take everyday....I was so happy when the pharmist told me I could just take them all at the same time as i was always forgetting to take the noon and evening meds. spike did what you guys said and unfrountly it didnt fix the problem.....Im thinking maybe if we take that part off and jiggle it around again and then replace the part we take off with that peice from one of the other saws maybe we'd be back in busness. Not that i'll be in the wood shop for awhile even if we do get it working as i seem to have caught a chest cold....to me its just annoying but spike says I should be coughing stuff up....and from the sounds of it my chest is all conjested.... hes such a worry wort bless his little heart....lol
