  1. Dave I used a dado blade on my tablesaw.
  2. I had never tried it but thought it would be pretty nifty looking.
  3. Here is the Hummingbird I cut for my spouse for Christmas. The frame was what I liked the most. The birdhouse was for my Granddaughters. They love to fish with me and love the dock I built them so I added a birdhouse to it.

  13. Here is another checkered oval bowl. The wood on the bowl is super old walnut and teak. The box is for my Granddaughter Evas Christmas. Its a Secrets box.
  14. Been a long busy summer and not much happening in the shop. Been camping a bunch this summer and gave a lot of pieces to unexpecting campers. Here are my 2 newest projects. The checker bowl is probably the favorite one I have made. Made out of poplar and walnut. The pipe holder is for my son. It was cut out of some old rough cut oak from the property.

  17. I suggest to look more of where you are going with the blade instead of where you are at. When I did that, my lines for bowls got much better.

  19. This is my last couple of weeks project. Super awesome pattern. The frame is my favorite. It’s made from some old roof decking. Seemed to fit the piece well.

  21. I do the same as sydknee. I glue the art piece to 1/4 Birth Plu that I stain black or walnut, then brad it to my frame.

  23. Kind of funny how well they work to easy your worries. I guess its the act of physically writing them down and putting them in the box for God to deal with.
  24. The Story of the God Box is. Sometimes we carry the weight of the world on our shoulders. Sometimes we need to let someone else deal with things we can not handle or need help with. Write it down on a piece of paper and put it in the box for God to deal with. Then we don't have to worry with it.
  25. Been a pretty busy summer with not much shop time. Here are 2 projects that I have manages to eek out. The God Boxes are for some of my wifes family The bowl is Poplar and Walnut. One of the best I have done so far. Hope all you guys and gals are doing okay.
