  1. I have never used plyboard before so I tried it on this project. After I finished scrolling and went to rip down some backer board, my head said "use the push stick". Well as I often do, I chose not to listen. As I was flicking the cut off piece away from the blade this happened. Finger VS. Table saw!!!! Table saw 1, finger 0. I knew better but figured "just this once is okay. I have also been waiting for something like this to happen. It's not "if" but when and how bad. Well She said that the specialist will be the one to decide the finger fate on Tuesday. She sewed it up the best she could. The bone is REALLY bad messed up. Then to top it all off I glued the backer to the wrong side!!!!! LOL, I guess you win some and then you lose some. I did rip a piece of wood when I got home at 3:30 this morning to overcome the "fear". I believe I might have learned something. At least this project will still end up fairly decent despite fingering it up!
  2. Great job. I have found that I prefer using regular blades. They are more acurate and easier to cut fine lines. This project I used the Olson No.623 #3 Crown tooth blades.
  3. That is a poplar wood that I got from Lowes.
  4. I would love the pattern of this.
  5. This one turned out super good. I added a little epoxy part to it.
  6. Great Job on that. Im glad that someone used a pattern I made. I am tickled crimson.
  7. Show us a photo. I would love to see it. By the way, I cut this using a regular blade.
  8. Great Job. I might have to do that one.
  9. The Zebra wood was probably not the best choice, at all. It kind of camouflaged the image. The Tung oil made it worse because it brought the dark out and hid the image even more. It was also way too expensive. $21 for that piece. Lesson learned and now I love it even more. It came out exactly as it wasn't supposed to. Now I might fill it with am amber epoxy and make a rear lit piece out of it.
  10. Made this for someone for Christmas.
  11. Great Job Those are pretty dang spiffy!!!
  12. Here is one of my Dog Nuggets Birdhouses I had to make him. He rents them out. He calls it NugTown Villas, Gated Bird Community.
  13. Here is the Indian Warrior I have been working on. 230 holes. Cut out of 3/4 Zebra Wood. Bare and then Tung Oiled.
  14. Well, Now there is a pattern for people to make a truck load of them. Alabama is HUGE around here. I showed it off at a meeting yesterday and I had 4 out of 15 people say they wanted one. Too bad that I will probably not make another one. I do very few patterns more than once.
  15. Bear Bryant. Alabama Crimson Tides Most Famous coach.
  16. This was a super fast project. Did this one in one day. Now back to my unfinished project.
  17. Cjsturnings on here. The pattern is from 2013.

  22. Doesnt seem like that many cuts. I drilled 40 more holes tonight.
  23. Good for you. I almost didn't make it to 50! I do not regret my past as I consider it my greatest asset today. I can maybe share my past and help someone to not go through the same thing I did.
