The frame is from some old rough cut oak.
I planed the wood a little before I cut it down (to my liking).
Routed the groove for the piece.
Made the frame to fit.
This one took me a while. I had a bunch of different small projects going on and have been working on my Side by Side.
Now to build some frames for a few projects.
Here are a couple of photos from vacation. Mt Rushmore went to Mt. Rushmore. Sitting Bull with Buffalo went and saw Buffalo (There is a heard of buffalo behind it) Took my consignment pieces to their buyers at Pierce Land and Bison.
8 days, 10 states, 3500 miles, saw 2 brothers that I had not seen in 5 years and 1 sister that I had not seen in 14 years.
Here are a couple that I have done before but made again because they did so well. Now its time to do a little cross country driving so I can get a photo of my Mt. Rushmore project at Mt. Rushmore and some of my buffalo projects at a Bison Ranch in Colorado. I should have made a Wild Bill Hickok to photo in Deadwood SD but I didn't think about it.
Here are some of my recents. Since I live here I went to the Birthplace of Elvis and took the photos.
I had not made any bowls in a while so I made some.
You are right on. Gibson Les Paul Studio addition. It goes with the Gibson Dove, The Paul Reed Smith CE24, The lawsuit Takamini 12 string, the Martin DC1e and my favorite, Cheap Alvarez acoustic, the best playing of them all. A few others also.
Here is another finished project. I have been making the frames for them also so they have been taking longer to complete. I actually like making frames!
