  1. Maybe you can find the issue you need here (kind of pricey)! I've used eBay for cooking magazines that my wife likes. https://www.ebay.com/b/Creative-Woodworks-Indiana-Magazine-Back-Issues/280/bn_7022375490
  2. Keeping your dad involved with wood working but on a safer scale is a great idea. It keeps hands and mind active. As for the saw, and I am far from an expert and no RBI experience, if it runs without problems, I say it would be a good investment. You can always swap out the motor but in the meantime, your dad will have fun. I wish you both well.
  3. Craftsman 16 inch. Pretty heavy little unit. Never had a problem. Sold it after a couple years when I got the Excalibur.
  4. I started scrolling while still in the army on a small craftsman pin type saw. Not having much free money, I snagged old pallets being thrown out and used the boards for a lot of small projects as well as learning to do inside cuts, lettering and the like. Pallets can have some nice wood. Not always of uniform thickness but a little hand plane or belt sander can even things up. Very inexpensive way to develop the skill.
  5. I like it. Simple yet practical and decorative!
  6. Very nice. Should last a long time. Happy scrolling.
  7. I am truly impressed. Thanks for sharing.
  8. Good evening. At approx the 4:45 mark, there is some discussion about differences. I hope it helps.
  9. I do use my hold down but infrequently. Most of the time it is up and out of the way but ready when necessary.

  12. Thanks for sharing. I truly enjoyed looking at your lineup. And the finished candle holder is wonderful.
  13. If you aren't paying goofy high credit card interest on the Delta, keep both. One never knows what the future holds.
  14. I had never heard of the Niqua brand. So I found a write-up and blog with some comparison photos (Flying Dutchman tho and not Niqua). Great to gain new knowledge.
  15. Welcome to the village from SE Arizona John.
  16. I get up to the Gilbert area once in a while to visit my son and family. I cannot stand that traffic and congestion. The whole Phoenix metro area is stifling to me. My wife loves it though. I rebuilt an old captains desk many years ago and some of the wood took the finish and other areas did not. 4 0 steel wool dipped in the shellac and I just rubbed it/forced it into the 'iffy' areas. Might work with walnut, I cannot say. Might be worth a try on a piece of scrap. Good luck!
  17. Welcome Tom from SE Arizona. I like your work. Workbench sized ducted paint booths are expensive. Maybe a range hood would work?
  18. Welcome from SE Arizona. I've seen a couple of your videos. You do nice work.
  19. Some photos of the Hawk you are looking at might help Hawk users give you pointers.
  20. Headed out of town and had a great Christmas with the grandkids. But I have to admit it is so nice and quiet being with the wife and our dog back in our own home. Peaceful joy!
  21. Welcome Pop Moon from SE Arizona.
  22. Sorry to hear about you cancer. Saying a prayer for recovery.
