  1. It is a lot easier to do if your saw is one with an upper arm you can raise. Also when I had my old Craftsman SS I would drill all the holes and then using a small countersink bit I would dimple all the holes on the backside.
  2. Glad to hear your family members were not harmed. But boy, what a mess.
  3. I am another one that thinks Denny has extrodinary service. I give him ☆☆☆☆☆. Thanks Denny !
  4. Yes, that is what I use.
  5. Stop bragging. Lol.
  6. CF Gloves would work also I believe. 7/25/56 must be the day only special people entered this world.
  7. Ok, who wears finger cots and why? I wear them on my thumbs, index and middle fingers. I feel that it gives me extra control on speed, sharp corners and curves (kinda like new tires, lol). If I don't wear them while while scrolling I feel naked and that's not a pretty picture.
  8. So far so good. I have completed several projects/orders since my new saw has arrived. I want to say how easy it was to re return my defective saw to HD under the 90 day return policy and how fast my new saw arrived after ordering thru HD web site. The new saw needed less adjustment and seems to preform better right from the box than the original saw. Maybe the original saw was bad from the beginning. I will keep everyone posted if any problems occur.
  9. My new SS arrived today. I am back in the game !
  10. Thanks, me also because I love the saw.
  11. I received my Wen LL2156 scroll saw on 12/5/22. Today it produced a bad rattle and vibration. I found a piece of bearing race on the saw stand. Not sure exactly where it came from. I returned the saw to Home Depot today under the 90 day return policy (saw was purchased online from HD). Went home and ordered a new Wen LL2156. Delivery should be tomorrow.
  12. In my experience with patients using monocular glasses, contacts or implants experienced more eye stress and problems with depth perception. Takes time to rewrite your brain to use each eye separately. FYI, I was a Certified Optician.
  13. Yep, he who snoozes loses. But I didn't see the market post until after I seen it on here. I don't check it often. Glad he got a great deal.
  14. Darn, I was only 5 miles away. I seen it listed today. I live in Allegan.
  15. BTW, did you get that in Allegan?
  16. The stand is probably worth that isn't it ?
  17. I use a +1.5 magnification. But it's going to all depend on a persons visual acuity with and without correction. Also the focal distance thats the most comfortable for sawing.
  18. This what I use. Purchased on Amazon.
  19. My first blank space cutting. 1/2" cherry mounted to 8×10 cheap 1/4" plywood. Already sold 2 of them.
  20. Ohh ! That drafting chair does look very comfortable for scrolling.
  21. My favorite stool is a bar stool. LOL.
  22. I wouldn't call it mass produced but maybe manufactured. Still a lot of knowledge and setup goes into it. It's cool and has It's place, but not in the craftsman area. Just my opinion of course.
  23. Happy New Year !
  24. I have a good source for inexpensive hobby wood. Used furniture from Goodwill type stores. Also cigar boxes sold from some smoke shops, they usually sell them when empty inexpensively. Hope this helps someone. Happy New Year !
  25. Did you notice the bee on the 2nd flower up from bottom ?
