I have had 2 Wen LL2156 scroll saws. Both only lasted 2 months each. Both returned due to bearing problems. Now I have a Dewalt. Although I liked the Wen 21inch, I think the Dewalt is a much much better saw all the way around.
Your retiring from market selling and I am just starting. I am doing my 1st Arts/Crafts Market tomorrow from 9 till 4. There will be 45 to 50 venders. Lets hope for dry weather.
Lol. No rain on my parade. So far so good with the Dewalt. Mine arrived with no finish flaws I could find. All adjustments seemed very close. I did go over all nut and bolts and double checked all adjustable adjustments. Mine also does not seem to cut aggressively as I have heard others talk about.
I will keep everyone posted on this saw as I continue to use it.
Yay ! My saw got delivered a day early. I went over all nuts, bolts and screws making sure all is tight. Aligned blade set screws with feeler gauge. Aligned blade in table slot. And made sure bevel adjuster was accurate.
Should be back in business.
I started on an old Craftsman SS and up graded to a Wen LL2156. 1st Wen lasted 2 months, returned and ordered another, and it lasted 2 months, returned and ordered the Dewalt.
I do use a foot switch and will be getting a lift assist.
UPDATE 2ND WEN LL2156:
2 months in on new saw I encountered same issue as 1st saw. Returned to Home Depot and ordered a Dewalt. Hope I have better luck.
