  1. Good Morning Kelly... Just a bit of morning left. I got up, fed the horses, ate a bit of Dan's breakfast and went back to bed. My scroll saw is down until I get switch, brushes and fuse. It's cold out, Sooooooo I took a morning nap.
  2. I enjoy seeing such lovely work, reading the comments. Helps start my day.
  3. Brrrrr...It's cold out there. Gimme a cup o coffee and a bagel. Thanks Dan. Good Morning to you all Don't know what I'll do, maybe go back to bed.

New wood, new tools or old wood, old tools; hand made can't be beat. AMERICAN CRAFTSMAN MADE. Hey, I like that slogan. Scroll on people.
  9. That skunk is a stinker and you're not supposed to count your chickens. I must say, the combination looks good. You did fine. That should be known as 'The Krunde' font.
  10. Good job!!! Great work!!! That's nice looking.
  11. It looks like a Blue Spruce or maybe a Fir. Good job.
  12. You do a good job. They all look nice.
  13. I was given a Red Oak Burl that I cut into seven pieces. Each piece is approximately 18 inches wide and 7 inches tall. Thickness is from 1/2 to 1 + inch thick. The grain is most outstanding and unusual. I am perplexed as to what to do with them. So I am open to suggestions. This is a picture of one piece front and back. The grain changes throught the face of the board many many times. I'm Awed by it. One small section where the bark fell off looks like a topographic mountain scene. With streams and rivers cascading down. My wife took a magnifying glass and spent 15 minutes looking at it. Almost hate to cut any of them. Maybe just polish and put a finish on them. Though I guess I could sacrifice some of them to some type pattern.
  14. A lot also depends on what other tools you have access to. Planer, table saw etc. I don't remember if you listed your tools. Kinda like Roly said, Ask around, look around, scrounge and buy cheap at first.
  15. Worst piece on the bottom, save if you can or toss if it's just too much work.
  16. Read this post again slowly. If your question has not been answered after that, I would suggest you use caution and not post the past projects you are unsure of.
  17. Sloan's Woodshop - " The Scroll Saw Store " www.sloanswoodshop.com/ - Similar to Sloan's Woodshop - " The Scroll Saw Store " Welcome to Sloan's Woodshop - The Scroll Saw Store. Mike's Workshop English featuring: my life story, a cancer ...https://www. mikesworkshop.com/ I order from both Sloan's and Mikes. Good prices & good blades IMHO
  18. Kelly, I read your profile. I like you, but I'm not trying to sweep you off your feet. I think you 'will' like it here. Please feel at home, ask questions and offer advice. Gee and cook a meal for the Village... Larry
  19. Welcome Dan...
  20. I'm late too, is it ok if I have Mondays breakfast today?
  21. Use medium locktite...don't use 'sieze forever'
  22. Strong possibility the screw you clamp against has loosened up and backed out a little. When you tighten against it, you are bending the blade into a crevis. Take these screws out and coat them with medium locktight and reinstall "flush".
  23. Hi, my name is Dudley and I am a alcoh... Actually I'm one of the Larry's here and I am a scrollaholic. The Dewalt is a well accepted and a good saw. Now Scott, you piqued (as in curiosity) my interest in your 'Wall Maps' How about showing some pictures to us. Ask, you'll get answers. Like anything the more you use the saw, the better you get. Welcome Scott ... Mort.
  24. Happy Birthday Mike and Steve. Hope you both have a wonderful day.. I really hope it was great.
