  1. Cribbage pattern by Wilson Woodworks (Danny) Hunting with My Master by Grampa (Paul) Thank you Danny and Paul. Golly, I like this. Hunting with Big Red during the day and playing cribbage at night. The board is 10 3/4" wide by 12" long. The wood is Cherry luaun with a pine backer. The finish is lacquer.
  2. You and the pattern maker did an excellent job. That is a beauty.
  3. The sawmill where you got your lumber may have a meter for reading the moisture. Take a board and ask them to check it The one year is a "best guess". Again, checking by meter should be done. Check around. someone has one and it only takes about a minute.
  4. Very good Keith. I like the way it is designed for the letters to fit.

  7. Hey Danny, I call them Cribbage patterns. I'm doing #4 now and will do #2 later.
  8. Oh no, knitting? You'd go batty over night. Have that yarn,,,speaking of yarns. What's the end of the your story about "I made two but they only lasted two days but gotta make more."
  9. Good morning Bill and everyone. I'll have a sip-o-coffee, go feed the horses then fix me a "Danny International Breakfast" Bill, what is your favorite to fish for?
  10. Good job. That looks great. I smiled at your wood list.
  11. I'm simple, just use any type black paint on a backer board. You only need to paint the part of the backer that will be exposed. For most items like this deer head, you do not need to be a perfectionist for the black for the backer. The cuts are small so again just a little black will do it. IMHO Chet, What Dan said is correct. I call them bridges or anchors. Before you make a cut be sure there is adequate support. I have cut this pattern a few times and I think it is a great learning experience. I grade it moderate. Your blade choice is always important. Experiment if you have a variety of blades. Blade choice may change depending on wood type and thickness.
  12. Dan, you did good!!! Oak and walnut...some has bark. I love bark on a piece of scroll work. Did you figure out your water problem?
  13. Chet, Welcome to Scroll Saw Village. As a cabinette maker, it seems obvious you have all the tools and wood you would need. Scrolling can be almost as satisfying as building model aircraft. Actually, to me, it's addicting. Hey, and thank you for showing us a picture of that beautiful model. Thats what we like, pictures and questions. Bring 'em on. Take a tour and visit the Coffee Shop daily.
  14. I love vases, bowls and baskets. Beautiful vase. You did a great job. The shaking part I understand since I shake sometimes too. I
  15. Golly gee, talk about talent. Three great, great, great patterns.
  16. Answer 1) I have two, a Sears and a Shop-Vac. The Sears nozzels are less than desireable, The Shop-vac sometimes blows out dust. (Yes, I clean it) Answer 2) They do ok Answer 3) If I had $$$ I'd do a search... I don't know Answer 4) Have a slated floor for the sawdust and wood chips fall thru into a bin.
  17. Dan, thank you, thank you...a little goose bump chills there.
  18. Hans, thank you very much. This is a compliment that makes my day.
  19. As you know Roly, I was joking. I already know that anything you do works to perfection.
  20. Kevin's yelling for coffee woke me up. Yawn, s-t-r-e-a-c-h Thanks Dan! I'll get a cup and think on your international breakfast. Breakfast sounds good, so after I feed horses, I'll fix me some Canadian Bacon with Belgian Waffles.
  21. Don, Mahendra and Matt you do super patterns. All look so good.
  22. Clayton, I wish you a fun and hassle free vacation. Take pictures to share. Larry

  24. And by his wounds we are healed and Spirit Horse your faith has healed you. Lord bless you and all yours. My prayers are with you. Larry
  25. The cross is very good. The jelly bean machine looks great but I wander if it works. I thought I heard Roly say I was tired all the jelly beans being gone before he could get any.
