Wish I lived near you, I'd buy the light and stand for my 'new' saw. I bought the 40-694 (not here yet) and have to build a stand for it. I will still use my 40-690 probably for inlay. Now I get to see if the 40-694 is as good. Oh, and we are the only two to rate our saws.

Larry, We agree,'It's a very good saw.' A couple comments to your post. What do you mean by, 'Course found out the light and stand are, for me, only good for taking up space somewere.' Most likely it is discontinued and replaced by 40-694, but the only place I have seen that stated is in this post.

I woke up hungry. There was a little nip in the air and I looked for a reason to turn on the oven and bake something. What is there to bake? What can I make for BREAKFAST? WOW, here's some Betty Crocker CORNBREAD mix, a can of 'Old ElPaso' Green Chiles. And we got 'EGGS' I baked the CORNBREAD with a shredded three CHEESE blend. Next I crumbled some CORNBREAD in a skillet, mixed in some Green Chiles then fried an EGG. Yummy good. I fixed a buch for ya'll, Come join me for BREAKFAST

Hey Randi, Welcome.. You probably have a hardware store or two nearby... They all supply wood building material 'like' Lauan, Baltic Birch... Go on line and do a search in your area for building suppy stores
