Welcome. I think Steve good had a couple basket or bowl patterns. I did one of them a short time ago. Enjoy scrolling!
  4. Thanks for the help, I'm going to work on it tonight-
  5. I finally received all the bearings and sleeves for my 788 and replaced them all using my drill press. It was pretty easy. Now, I turned it on and it's louder and vibrates more than before. Everything is new, Did I tighten them to tight? not enough? I didn't change anything else and put everything washers and all back where I took it from. It sounds and feels like it's coming form the back but I can't find the exact place. I'm going to take it apart again today and mess with it. Any ideas? Thanks for your help Dan

  14. Yes, I got all the numbers from a post here.
  15. I needed new bearings for my Dw788. I went to VXB.com and my total for all bearings and shipping was $88.85 I found BearingsDirect.com from Glendale CA and total for bearings and shipping was $51.43 All the same correct numbers, very easy to find. Big savings-

    Great job.
  17. I didn't think about using my drill press. Thanks, I'll try that when I get the bearings.
  18. I was going to do this on my DW788 in the past but at the time didn't have the money. I lost the numbers and website you folks had posted in the past, would you mind posting the site and all the numbers again? Mine is a type one and I'm sure pretty old. It's making those funny knocking noises again, I took it all apart and can't get it to quiet down. All I had to do last time was tighten things up. It didn't work this time. I couldn't find any other problems. The only other thing I'd need is a bearing press. It costs $50+ at harbor freight. I'll have to watch the video on youtube again just to be sure. Thanks Dan
  19. Thanks
  20. Thanks
  21. I saw some pictures of crosses done like these so I had to try it. The dark one is worm eaten Chestnut, the other wood I got from a friend is worm eaten Ash. I hung them on the garage wall.
  22. Very nice! That pattern has been sitting in my drawer on the do list for some time. Now I know I'll finish it after seeing your work.
