Clayton717 Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 here is one of the cuttings I did after the bug bit me. they are not framed. I wanted to get your opinions on the background colors. I like them both but I think I like the black more. I'm undecided I will probably frame both ways and let whoever gets the decide. cut in 1/8" Baltic birch. hippi, Scrolling Steve, lawson56 and 1 other 4 Quote

heppnerguy Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 I am old and pretty set in my ways. I almost always prefer the high contrast of black for my backer color, but then I also do not have a creative mind or else i would be making patterns Dick heppnerguy Clayton717 and amazingkevin 2 Quote

Kragax Posted November 19, 2014 Report Posted November 19, 2014 I really like this one. Is it one of your own patterns? Quote
Clayton717 Posted November 19, 2014 Author Report Posted November 19, 2014 I really like this one. Is it one of your own patterns? This is not my pattern. The name on the pattern is Phunky, But I don't know which site I got it from. There were several scroll saw forums that no longer exist so it may cam from one of them. Quote
Fab4 Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 Hi Clayton: I like DW's reply - a mix of red and black The eye, looks awesome in red - Looks angry Either way, you can't go wrong If you take your pattern and use a graphics program you should be able to fill the areas with different colors This would give you a better idea on how it will look Thanks for showing us Fab4 Quote
penquin Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 They both look good. Adding color is always something to think about. It sure helps then jump out with the red. jim penquin Quote
