dansnow Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 (edited) A wonderful lady stopped by the shop a few weeks go to pick up the reindeer and sleigh set I had made from Sheila's designs. While she was there she saw one of these I had just finished, and promptly ordered three for herself! All the parts are cut, most have initial sanding. Next is assembly, finish sanding then clear finish. Wood is 1/4 and 1/2 Cherry. Edited November 20, 2014 by dansnow amazingkevin, bobscroll and Smudger 3 Quote

dansnow Posted November 21, 2014 Author Report Posted November 21, 2014 I sell the boxes for $85/ea. The lady bought one for herself and two to give as Christmas gifts. I need to finish one this week as it is getting shipped to Minnesota. Quote
heppnerguy Posted November 22, 2014 Report Posted November 22, 2014 I started this same box for a Christmas decoration for our house, this evening. these boxes are pretty nice and I have sold several of Sheila Landry's boxes, myself. I made 6 of them for a friend to give as Thank you's for her brides maids and her mother and mother in law. They are going to print a photo of them in the Scroll Saw woodworing and crafts magazine soon. I love that they attract others so well too. Nice sale, My sale came only because she saw them and made a nice comment about them. I told her that I had made it and the sale was on. Your story reminded me of my own. Way to go, your boxes will be beautiful Dick heppnerguy Quote
