Proxprof Posted January 4, 2015 Report Posted January 4, 2015 Here is a picture of the last thing I made in 2014. The Pattern is from Volker Arnold, but I changed a few things. At the moment it turns not yet as good as I wanted it to, but I think that the wings are a little to heavy. I'll change it in the next time, but I wanted to show it to you now. It was a lot of work, but I'm proud of it. Quote

Proxprof Posted January 5, 2015 Author Report Posted January 5, 2015 Thank you for all the compliments. I did cost a lot of time, altough the cutting didn't take that long. Most of the time I spent figuring out how to build it together. The main problem is that there shouldn't be any disbalance, because the spindle should turn very easily. I got that, but my problem is that it has to turn by the warmth from the candles. And I believe that my wings are a little to heavy, because it only turns with a little help. Then, after a while, it stops. But I keep on trying. Quote
nrscroller Posted January 8, 2015 Report Posted January 8, 2015 beautiful I've always wanted to make something like that I give you a lot of credit for what you did looks like fun you might have to try that sometime Quote
