I had a request from a friend to make this patter of Sue Meye's. I toldherthat it was above my skill level and to choose something else. She said this is what I want andirons you can cut it. I trust your skill. Well since she would not give in, I purchased the pattern and cut it today. The thing that is so new tome is that I knew the best waytocutthis one was going to be able tout this one was info used that dreaded spiral blade. All my previous effort with the spiral were not very pretty but I thought if I was going to accomplish this one I needed to buck up and just go for it. Well as you can see, I was able to get it cut. I actually got to a point where I was starting to enjoy the spiral blade some. I doubt it will everbemyblade ofchoicebutwhen I run across a pattern of this type again, at least I know that I can do it

Thats fantastic that you beat the dreaded spiral demon, I just haven't mastered it yet but then again maybe I should try more. ;)   You did a fantastic job Dick, its something to be proud of.

Dick you did a great job!!! I started scrolling this year and I guess the best thing was not being told about the dreaded spiral. That is what I learned with and still do my hardest cuts with them. Just finished a Mallard in flight not posted yet done with spiral. Great job again. Keep practicing with spirals they have their place.

Very well done Dick...I can't get the courage anymore to even try the spiral blades.

I know I could do it if I tried,so maybe some day I will give it another try.

Great looking project you did.

Great job, Dick.   Be careful, many more cuts of this type and you will find the spiral will become your go to blade.  At least for the more detail portrait work.

I thought about you as I was cutting this.. You and Hans are the spiral kings here in the Village. I was surprised that it went as well as it did for me.
