Now that I'm settled in that's the way it always goes.As soon as I'm comfortable somewhere i have to move.I'm thinking the easiest way for me to deal with it is rent a POD portable on demand storage shed.$250 a month. That way i have a month to load it up neatly set it up as a shop and keep paying the rental on it .Then when i find a suitable place again on my low low budget i can have it delivered .Me lifting a box with tedious now is going to be problems but i have to try.Scrolling is my life. You can't do much with $700. a month so i need to slow down, save some penny's ,pray and Watch the ALMIGHTY do his miracle''s .Looks like i have 2 months to move. :sad:Always something!!!

So sorry for the situation Kevin..All you can hope for is the next place will be better.

Maybe the new owner will keep you on as a tenant. We will all be praying for you for sure.

Don't forget your bible quote.."God will never leave you"

Like others I'm bummed out by your situation. I don't know if you have reliable transportation or not - but if you do maybe you could consider living apart from you shop. It's more difficult because you are looking for two sites. But it's less difficult to find a reasonable apartment if you don't worry about the shop. Then look for a situation where you can rent shop space separately. I see CL ads here from artists who have some large space for their sculpture work (or whatever) and can't afford it so they are looking for 1 or 2 people to share the space. Also in the city most houses have garages and you can find seniors who've given up driving trying to rent their garage spaces.

You might even post a CL ad yourself "Situation Wanted: scroll saw woodworker seeks air conditioned space (about ____sq. ft.) in the ____area. Will pay in cash monthly. Need 12 month agreement. Need access 24 - 7."  Negotiate the price. If you were to find space with an artist they might have another avenue to sell your work.

Anyway I wish you the very best outcome to this problem, Kevin. I know your friends here will keep you in their prayers and thoughts.

Oh I am soooo very sorry to hear this Kevin.     You have been through some very rough patches in the last few years.  I hope you manage to find something that is more permanent for you.  Like someone else said maybe the new owner will allow you to stay.

I'll be praying for you Kevin, hopefully, things will work out for the better. Is there any chance of getting in touch with the new owners, to see if you can continue to rent the spot your in?

The new owner is the landladys son so that's out yes "old Hudson" a garage would be super! Thanks for the prayers. If i would have been changing for my work since 2004  at a dollar a project i'd have well over $4000 dollars and at a fair price i'd have over $40,000.Money isn't everything as i made it this far! I do keep the faith always, that's how i got this far on nothing! Well i still have my friends here all's not lost! :)

That would be the tempest, ?The calm before the storm! Job hung on in spite all and look what came about! And this too shall pass ! I'm just about at the end of the rope , Now i need to tie a knot and hang on! Thanks Jerry!

Reading this reminds me of the latest milling job I just did.

Faced with a similar ordeal, this couple purchased a small piece of land and then purchased a 12x20 Morgan building.  Added some 2bys in between the 2bys that were spaced at 36" centers, blew some insulation and covered the stuff with 1/4" something.  The porch is where the fella does his woodworking and the wife does her stained glass.  They built in a loft for storage and 'bed', and it looks to be quite cozy!  And it was definitely warm inside, even though it was only 44*F outside.

I milled 195boardfeet of Black Cherry they were going to use as countertops(beautiful timber).  Took about 1.25hrs....  Cost.....2 gallons of gas and a glass of water.  We parted with smiles on our faces :D

Might want to think of one of those tiny homes Kevin.  I have been seeing them crop up all over the place.  The smallest I saw was just over 200 square feet but most are in the 400 - 650 sq. foot range and do not cost much to own.  Anyway Kevin my thoughts and prayers are with you and should I will the lotto soon... be expecting company... I hate snow :)
