I've been working on this project for many moons! Finally it came together this week after many tries.

Which do you like better? Ladder or dalmatian puppy version! The ladder version takes twice as long to complete, mainly because it involves a router and individual cuts on the ladder truss.

Haven't decided on pricing yet. Any ideas?

Awesome work on both Brian. If I had to choose between the two it would be the ladder truck. There are many variables to consider when pricing ones own work. Only you can decide that. 'MERRY Christmas ' to you and all the best for 2016 to you and family.

Great work Brian! They both look great. I think the key for the ladder looks a little fragile, especially for kids, although I love the ladder. For production sake, I would go with the Dalmatian puppy.

I LOVE the one with the Dalmatian but then again I'm a female of course I'm going to like the dog one.      Both look great though, well done.

So far it is 50-50 on the ladder vs dalmatian. I believe I will offer both at shows. I've had several private messages asking for the pattern.

I've been in contact with a publisher and hopefully it will be available in the next several months.

Great job on both.  Since they are going to be taken apart and put back together I like the one with the dog slightly better.  I think the ladder will provide too much force on the nub that it fits on and it might break off.  Might wish to redesign that part of it to have 2 or more nubs supporting the ladder.  Thanks for sharing these with us.

DW, good advice. Thanks!!

I just redesigned it and it has a thicker key for the ladder. It won't break now but the truss part of the ladder is fragile - it's only 1/8" thick because I routed out 1/2" from 3/4" stock. Certainly not for younger children.

Brian, I'm a retired firefighter and I think you did a great job. I was an engine man so I would have to go with the dalmatian one but both are great. I would love to make those if you have the patterns to sell. Thanks, Ralph.
