NC Scroller Posted June 3, 2016 Report Posted June 3, 2016 I made this last week in Judy Gale Roberts beginners class. The entire project is western red cedar except for the eye. Western red cedar has some amazing color variations. There is no stain, paint of dye used. The eye itself is made of a walnut dowel with a small piece of holly added for a highlight. I can see me doing more intarsia in the future. New Guy, jhva, Birchbark and 4 others 7 Quote

Ron Johnson Posted June 3, 2016 Report Posted June 3, 2016 Fantastic Scott. Yes, cedar is such a beautiful wood with all it's variations of color and grain. I love when a finish is applied to cedar. It's then totally awesome. Quote
