Clayton717 Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 Just finished up my Excavator. 90-95 % was cut on the scroll saw. It is made from yellowheart and walnut. With some birch dowel rods, axles and wheels. The plan is from toysandjoys.com. All natural colors. Most all parts move- booms, bucket, tracks and it rotates. This will be entered into our county fair next month. There is a video of it working on my crafts Facebook page if anyone is interested. I couldn't get it to post here. 125 CSL, meflick, don watson and 1 other 4 Quote

It's a fair project and I just had someone from my facebook page ask about buying it. So after the fair if he doesn't buy it I will put it up on my shelf with the bull dozer and trucks. Quote

Lucky2 Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 Nicely done Clayton, it's nice that you may have sold it already. Can you sell these for enough money to cover your time and materials, I imagine it takes lots of time to make one? Len Clayton717 1 Quote

I don't charge a lot for my time, but yes if I get my asking price I will be happy. It will cover materials and time. Lucky2 1 Quote
