Here is a Sue Mey pattern I purchased today. I thought I would try painting it to make it stand out a little. Is the pattern ca good or bad choice for a craft show and would you paint the accent spots to leave them aloneness? Or perhaps just make a black backer board instead looking for suggestions and ideas.

If you make what you like first then after your first craft show you will get and idea of what the people go for better.  By the way I love the little fellow.  Oh an maybe do a couple of boxes like that lovely little one that you made your wife.

Dick I just love that. I am going to see if I can find it for myself. Yep that will sell big time.

Looks very cute and would think it would be a good seller at a craft show.  But then, you never know.  I agree the color makes it pop but you want to limit your "hands on time" to create them so you make more $. So as Dave suggested you might try just using the black backboard and see how it looks.  You could also "spray paint" some backers in other colors perhaps so it is all one solid color but something other than black.  Depends really on what you think is going to sell the best and how much work you want to put into making them.  Since you are "testing the waters" with this one show.  You might have a few of different kinds on hand and see which ones seem to sell the best.

That is a nice ornament and should sell very well. I like the colors.

Like Dave asked, did you stack cut? I stack cut 6 at a time and my wife paints some of them. The painted and more complex ones sell for $12 the simple ones for $10. All are about 4" in dia

Dick, this is a perfect example of what you should have on your table at a craft sale. The fact that it is painted different colors, really adds to it's appeal and should make it a good seller. Personally, I think that one with a black backer would look good, but, I don't think it would sell nearly as fast as one with the colored backer would.
