Popular Post Dave Monk Posted September 29, 2016 Popular Post Report Posted September 29, 2016 The oval plaque is made of white oak and has a walnut inlay. I measures 15" x 9" The inlay is a delta symbol from Star Trek in case you don"t know. I had no idea what it was. That was my customers idea. The other other is red oak measuring 10" x 15". The tree pattern was a stencil which I found on google and made some adjustments. Both are finished natural in laquer. dave Lucky2, Rob Roy, neptun and 7 others 10 Quote

meflick Posted September 29, 2016 Report Posted September 29, 2016 Beautiful pieces of art Dave that the recipients are going to love. I really like the tree pattern that you used - not sure what you modified on it but it looks great. Having more than a few trekkies in my family I knew that that one was for some Trekkies. They are going to really like that I am sure. Thanks for sharing your photos. Dave Monk 1 Quote

Lucky2 Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 Dave, both plaques are outstanding, but, the trekkie one is really something else. Your inlay work just blows me away, it's always so perfectly done. I haven't done any inlay work for years, but, seeing yours makes me to want to try doing some again. Len Dave Monk 1 Quote
