oldhudson Posted January 2, 2018 Report Posted January 2, 2018 I've heard on the news that many southern states are getting freezing temps (below 32° F). If you're concerned about water pipes freezing I suggest you let your water faucets run at a trickle. Running water is harder to freeze than still water. I fish lakes all winter but I stay off the rivers. Just my 2¢. Quote
Scrappile Posted January 2, 2018 Report Posted January 2, 2018 My son is complaining. It is colder in Memphis right now than it is here in the NW where I live. Quote
Sycamore67 Posted January 2, 2018 Report Posted January 2, 2018 I guess I feel a bit sorry for the 32 degree temps but not very bad. It was -13 F this morning and even colder in some places. Quote
MTCowpoke22 Posted January 2, 2018 Report Posted January 2, 2018 I believe we finally made it above 0 today. First time since Christmas Day that we've been on the positive side of the thermometer. Quote
Montserrat Posted January 2, 2018 Report Posted January 2, 2018 We had 3 degrees here in Clarksville, TN this morning. No fun, believe you me. Quote
kywoodmaster Posted January 3, 2018 Report Posted January 3, 2018 Yep -6 when I left work yesterday morning. Don't think it is going to be as bad today 3:20 AM and only -1. We are supposed to have a heat wave today high temp projected to be 30. Quote
Woodmaster1 Posted January 3, 2018 Report Posted January 3, 2018 It was -14 this morning in northeast Indiana. That is about as cold as it gets here. The shop was still a nice 70 degrees. My wife likes a warm car in the morning to get into while my vehicle braves the cold. That is a sacrifice I made to have a shop in the garage. kmmcrafts 1 Quote
Lucky2 Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 I'm watching the news as I read this posting, they just announced that it is snowing in Florida. It is the first time it snowed there, in over twenty-two years according to them. So Kevin, I guess it does get cold there every so often. I remember my last visit to Florida, there was ice and frost that killed almost everything. We're supposed to get hit by a bomb cyclone tomorrow, it's expected to drop over 40 cms or 16" of snow with lots of high winds. For two days now, they've been advising people to stay off the roads. So it must be going to be one heck of a storm, to be getting a two day warning. Len Quote
