Lew that is looking good.  A lot of things that are not normally used as a scroll saw pattern can be used as one with a little care and modification.  Thanks for sharing this with us.

Neat idea Lew.  Great way to think "outside the box".

FYI:  Google "marijuana leaf".  You might get teased about the bottom 2 leaves on your plant.

No, I am not speaking from experience!!!!!!!!!!  :D  :D  Years ago we farmed in NE Iowa and hemp plants grew in the wild, just as any other weed.

This is from a pattern used for Schensenity, which is a German folk art. The black parts are cut out with special scissors and laid on a black background. Then the image is painted using folk art techniques. I'm going to place it on a black background and my wife will do the painting. Then I think I'll frame it. The technique is similar to scroll sawing, so I figured I would try it.

My cutting is on the left and the pattern on the right.

Almost finished....Painted and mounted on a piece of tin that has been antiqued. The artwork courtesy of my wife who is an accomplished tole painter. The pattern courtesy of Pam Holtz, a folk artist from Pa. Not quite sure if this is the finished product.......
