innar20 Posted May 12, 2019 Report Posted May 12, 2019 (edited) Thats all what is left from this chair. Plastic is falling away. Plastic stripped away. 60 pieces cut, 2,3°angle both sides. Cutting slots both sides on ewery piece and i will connect the pieces with "veeder" (in estonian, dont know how to name the connecting pieces in english). Glue - Soudal Pro40P, polyurethane glue. Pieces glued. Update is coming! Edited May 12, 2019 by innar20 don watson, Scrappile, amazingkevin and 2 others 5 Quote

Scrappile Posted May 13, 2019 Report Posted May 13, 2019 Looking good. Are you going to replace the plastic with ornate scrolled wood? Please keep us posted. innar20 1 Quote

oldhudson Posted May 14, 2019 Report Posted May 14, 2019 I admire those who restore old furniture rather than throwing them in a landfill. Further I admire your patience in all making all those parts. Did you use a jig of some kind? Looking forward to see it completed. And how's that cabin coming along?? innar20 1 Quote
innar20 Posted May 14, 2019 Author Report Posted May 14, 2019 I have a very little patience. I love to challenge myself. All the cutting made with tablesaw and finishing touch with sanding. Cabin is just fine. Windows and door are fitted, roof is ready. Inside the cabin sanded. oldhudson 1 Quote
don watson Posted May 14, 2019 Report Posted May 14, 2019 Sorry about that, I thought it was a biscuit. Don W Quote

JimErn Posted May 19, 2019 Report Posted May 19, 2019 Beautiful work, Now that I see the finished bottom piece I sort of understand veeder, thanks again Quote
don watson Posted May 19, 2019 Report Posted May 19, 2019 It's looking great. I can now see the 'veeder' (I think) Quote
innar20 Posted May 26, 2019 Author Report Posted May 26, 2019 Bottom pieces fitted. Cutting done. To cut this "ring" i used bandsaw. Light rust removal with angle grinder. Primer done. Now light sanding and paint. Next step is add the bottom pieces to place and need to figure out the armrest pieces. Quote
