Popular Post Jim Finn Posted September 15, 2019 Popular Post Report Posted September 15, 2019 Yesterday, Saturday, I was at our local arts and crafts sale. It is an outside event and have thousands of shoppers. I sold twenty-one boxes and forty rubber band shooters. All made using my scroll saw. Cell phone stands sold well also, as did other toys. Mostly trucks. Fab4, Scrappile, John B and 7 others 10 Quote
Foxfold Posted September 15, 2019 Report Posted September 15, 2019 Well done !! I love to hear of people doing well. I've never been to a craft fair over here so I don't know how many 'scrollers' do fairs in this part of the world. I'll have to go and check. But brilliant news about your day, Congratulations Jim Finn 1 Quote

Rockytime Posted September 15, 2019 Report Posted September 15, 2019 Great work! How in the world do you cut all those things? It would take me ten years to cut all those pieces. You are a human DYNAMO! Jim Finn 1 Quote

From October to June I make a lot of stuff and sell none. I spend 30-40 hours a week in my workshop so I can produce 20 boxes a week if need be. ( I wish I could sell them that fast!). Yes it takes me about two hours per box to make and finish. The photo shows only one of each pattern but I also have 2-3 of many in back stock that I take to this sale. I stay busy. OzarkSawdust Posted September 18, 2019 Report Posted September 18, 2019 Fantastic booth! Cool toys...and I love the boxes! That's my ambition, to have fun scrolling and making things...and have an outlet to get rid of all the stuff I make!!! Jim Finn 1 Quote
Jim Finn Posted October 27, 2019 Author Report Posted October 27, 2019 (edited) The Farmers markets are all finished for the year but I found a place to sell yesterday. It is called "Grape Day" at Llano winery here, near Lubbock. It was held in the winery and had over 1000 shoppers. I had good sales, selling 19 of my boxes and 124 Texas shaped coasters. Only sold one wine bottle box though. I will be back to this sale venue next year ! I have a new opportunity to sell at an outdoor sale on weekends starting on the day after Thanksgiving (black Friday) until Christmas. I will be setting up next to a Christmas tree seller, (a friend of mine). Edited October 27, 2019 by Jim Finn Rockytime 1 Quote
