Popular Post Scrollcrazy Posted April 25, 2020 Popular Post Report Posted April 25, 2020 (edited) I needed a big project so I decided to make a coffee table. My living room isn't that big but, the project was big enough to be awkward to draw on and burn. It came out to be 36"x22". Done on birch. I torched the edges and finished it with epoxy resin. I got the hairpin legs from Home Depot. Everyone stay in the woodshop and stay safe! Edited April 25, 2020 by Scrollcrazy meflick, Dan, GrampaJim and 9 others 11 1 Quote

It won't take you long. Happy burning!! New Guy 1 Quote

RabidAlien Posted April 29, 2020 Report Posted April 29, 2020 Awesome! I got a cheap woodburner for Christmas, haven't really pulled it out (too many scrollsaw patterns waiting for me!), but I was wondering how you got patterns from paper to wood? Scrollcrazy 1 Quote

When I burn mandalas, I draw them directly on the wood in pencil. After burning I just erase the pencil marks. When I want to copy something onto the wood, I use carbon paper. Harder to erase but, it works. RabidAlien and danny 2 Quote
fredfret Posted May 2, 2020 Report Posted May 2, 2020 I still believe you could sell you patterns as they are awesome as is your burning. Scrollcrazy 1 Quote

I still might try to go back to pen and paper. I just don't know if I could put down the wood long enough! Quote
Sparkey Posted May 3, 2020 Report Posted May 3, 2020 I see you are from CA. I was born and raised there. Grew up in Hayward and lived in Livermore for a while. Moved out in 96. I probably wouldn’t recognize it out there any more. Scrollcrazy 1 Quote

When my husband retires we hope to leave it behind. Hopefully going north maybe Oregon or Washington. Quote
