Here are some new ( to me ) ornaments. 1/4 hardwood, #1 FD Polar blades

I like them ....a lot....  Great Scrolling....  what species wood

Danny, I don't know the species. I got the wood from a local supplier who sold them as "hardwood thins" pretty disappointed with the batch as they are very brittle and developed splits when I planed them. At the time I got them there was no indication of a problem, but their website now warns that the wood may be brittle.

From looking at the grain, I would guess Poplar.  KInd of the typical Poplar light and dark areas.  Looks like Wichta has finished with some stain.  I like them also. He done good!

Getting ready for Christmas early. I've been saving my scrap for ornaments. Right now I have enough scrap to supply my county!
