Before leaving for Tennessee and nc this week I had no intarsia patterns at least no new patterns so I went into Steve goods catalog and after making 2 for my daughter my best buddy saw the best teacher ever piece before my daughter picked it up and asked me if he could purchase 2 for his daughters both teachers and of course I'd never charge him he's been my go to person whenever I needed help lifting anything heavy as he lives near me

i made these two unfortunately he never saw them

He had a stroke in April and was put into a coma until he recovered

months of therapy he came through 100 percent not allowed to drive but we were making plans for a road trip in November as long as doc gave him ok

he was forced to retire 3 months early

his retirement party a huge bash at his daughter house they rented a tent had 4 servers catering the whole nine yards

I was getting ready last Saturday to go to his bash when a neighbor told me there's an ambulance in front of his house

inrushed down there he came out with medics he looked at me and said great timing huh?

it was an hour before his party

he had a brainstorm hemorrhage at hospital and his brain died they kept him alive on machines for 24 hours to make sure no possibility of him surviving

he's gone but I'll give these to his kids friday

sorry about the back story it's torturing me he was so healthy never sick a day in his life really 66 years old

and then I made another piece today and shop is closed

Sorry for the loss of your friend.  I am sure his daughters will love the pieces you did for them.
