It was for $1, but it was a win. I did attend university, but dropped out after a year. The degree I did receive from university was MRS. MarieC 1 Quote

Sycamore67 Posted April 7, 2023 Report Posted April 7, 2023 At this point, I have every tool I want. In fact, I have sold off a couple big tools. Will I decide I want something tomorrow? Maybe, probably, we will see! MarieC 1 Quote

At least my husband is happy I'm either wanting tools or guns, lol. MarieC 1 Quote

Sycamore67 Posted April 8, 2023 Report Posted April 8, 2023 If anyone cares... Yes, I have every tool that I want for now. I am no longer a scuba diver. About 15 years ago my son got me into scuba diving. I was only open water qualified. However, I dove a number of the springs in Florida. Who knew of these amazing huge clear water springs northwest of Orlando? There are also extensive underwater cave systems that I was not allowed or had any desire to enter. But my son is a qualified cave diver, deep water diver and rebreather diver. I could never do the cave dives that he has done. I also dove on a couple of ocean reefs and even saw a shark sleeping. I do miss the diving but medically can not do it. Yes, I am published in Russian.. I delivered a speech and paper in Glasgow that was translated to Russian. MarieC and barb.j.enders 2 Quote

I totally agree with you about that one. I am sorry you can't dive anymore, it looks like it is another world down there. Me, I am an inland girl, love hiking and climbing mountains. I like to swim but going deep is not for me... Seeing a sleeping shark seems a bit too scary for me.... Quote
Sycamore67 Posted April 8, 2023 Report Posted April 8, 2023 Learning to scuba dive was very interesting. There was book learning and lots of hands on. We learned and practiced everything many times. We learned how to thoroughly check your equipment. A couple classes were taught under water. You learned how to take your equipment off and back on, what to do if your mouth piece is pulled out, how to communicate, how to buddy breath and lots else. The practice was so useful as when something happened you did not panic. My son has done extensive cave diving in Florida using a rebreather and electric scooter. The training and certification to cave dive is very extensive. MarieC 1 Quote
