Red tail hawks

Last year we had a pair of red tail hawks trying to nest in our tree. They were chased away by crows and blackbirds. This year they have a successful nest. We have three young Hawks in the nest. This is pretty cool. As soon as I go through the pictures I will post a few. I would like to get a drone to get some better pictures and the wife is all for it. Yay!

my wife found a red tail hawk nest yeara ago. She has a album of pictures from fuzzy heads to first flight.

When I lived in Tennesse we had a ton of Red Tail Hawks, those stinkers kept trying to get my chickens.

A few years ago our next door neighbor had a red-tailed hawk nest in his front yard.  It was pretty cool.  

One of them used to follow me around as I mowed the yard.  I was stirring up lawn critters and making easy targets/snacks for him/her.

We have a pair of Cooper Hawks nest around us. I love seeing them but lots of the other birds leave the area.

We have a Cooper Hawk that nests in my neigbours yard.  A couple of weeks ago, it banged into our window as it was carrying it's dinner - a yellow bellied sap sucker. Got it's bearing again and flew up into a nearby tree to enjoy it's dinner.

I have Hawks around my house and I love to hear them scream.
