I cannot imagine not having my cell phone.

I love my cell phone as it is my camera, my library (15+ books), radio, watch, news, audiobook, GPS, photo album, maps, and much more.  As a camera it takes great pictures and very flexible from macro to telephoto.

The camera is convenient to take in progress pictures of projects or when repairing things.  I can send the pictures to my camera or tablet.

The best thing about the cell phone is texting to my family.  Even though separated by miles, we share pictures and stuff daily.  It helps us keep close.

I am required by the wife to carry it with me when I am outside or in the shop. I dislocated a hip when I was outside a number of years ago and she wants me to have the cell in case I do something stupid again

I see there is few companies selling wooden watches.

With cell phone having accurate timing, who uses watches?

Who uses pocket watches?

There is "apps" on cell phone that make it look like a pocket watch.

I have not used a watch for 20 years.

I tried wearing my phone on my wrist. It felt wrong. I've worn a wrist watch since I was 8. I got one along with a pocket knife for my birthday.

It's probably been 50 years since I wore a watch. During my working years, every room in any building I worked in had a wall clock. All the vehicles I've owned had clock's of one sort or another. Now that I'm retired, I'm not too concerned with the time. Work till I'm tired. Eat when I'm hungry. Go to bed when I'm sleepy. Pretty simple schedule.

I am really impressed with the looks of them.

I almost bought a set for my wife and I but she said she didn't want them.

I wore a pocket watch for about a year about 22yrs ago. For only a year.   I have an 1877 pocket watch that still works.

But spending more money stuff that is already built just does not feel right.

Me.

I've worn a watch, probably since I learned to tell time.  It's such a habit that I feel incompletely dressed if I don't have one on.  I have a cell phone, but rarely have it turned on or even on my person, much to my family's dismay.  I may not get their texts, but I can always tell them what time it is.  😄
