All I can say.  Never owned a Pegas saw.  But would not be afraid to.. I have owned a Seyco.  Cuss the day I sold it, and if I ever get some mad money agin I will own one another one.   I loved the big table. It was an awesome saw.  Pegas owners will tell you the same about Pegas.  Pegas if you buy from Denny of Craftwarehouse you are supporting a forum member.  You will pretty much have to deal with Seyco.com if you ever need parts for your Pegas.  Which ever you choose you will not be making a bad decision.  Both, I am sure are great saws.

They're pretty close to the same saw.. I do remember reading some minor dislikes about the Seyco angle adjustment procedure wasn't as good.. ( probably just a matter of opinion )..  I do like the nice big table the Seyco has but I don't own either saw so I have no first hand experience with them.. Pegas does offer a larger table for extra $$..

There are many saws in this style and right now today since money doesn't grow on trees no more since covid, LOL.. I'd buy the Jet 18" saw.. it has about the best price ( currently as it's on sale ).. If money was still growing on trees I'd likely go with the Pegas.. not that there's anything wrong with any of these saws really.. just a color and blade clamp preference is why I would go with  the Pegas..

I own a Pegas and love it.  And as Paul, Scrappile, said, I do use Seyco for parts.

The 2 are made in the same factory and are basically the same saw, the most significant differences are the table (plus for Seyco) and the clamps (plus for Pegas).

Everybody who has (inset brand here) love them.  You won't go wrong either way.

I guess there is a larger table available for the Pegas.  The clamps, although I have no problem with the Seyco clamps, I agree I like the Pegas clamps somewhat more.  So I would also add.  The Pegas is a prettier saw, there is that.  I thought of two other item. The Seyco saw in integrated into the stand, so it is a little more difficult to assemble and if you want to use your own stand or bench/cabinet mount it you need to request a set of short legs. When I purchased mine the short legs did not cost anything but you did have to request them when you did you saw came with both sets of legs.

My Pegas is my 4th saw. I upgraded each time and have been very happy.

I did remove the vacuum attachment to make it easier to get my fat hands in to the bottom clamp.

At times, I toy with the idea of ordering the larger table, but I am getting by with only minor inconveniences.

Only cut once on a Seyco, so I can only speak to the Pegas. (And @Denny Knappen provides stellar customer service. )

I have one of the first Seycos. It’s a good saw. Would not hesitate to buy another one. It does have a magnetic top. Kevin is right on the angle cutting if that is important to you. I  have another saw if I need to do angle cutting (which I have not tried any angle cutting in years 🤫.) However, I got it before the Pegas saws came out.

I have not seen anyone who said they got a Pegas indicate they were unhappy with it. Definitely talk to @Denny Knappen if interested in ordering the Pegas. His website is: https://www.artcraftersonline.com

i don’t think you would go wrong with either saw.

I had the same dilemma of which to order at the first of this year. Everyone raves about the Pegas blade clamps although the table was smaller (shorter) between the blade and the front of the table. The Seyco had the larger table and you can change the blade clamps to Pegas. That was about the time Seyco announced they had the 24-inch saw and Pegas announced they had the 30-inch saw. That tipped me towards the Pegas. There have been a few times I would have liked more table space between the blade and front of the table but overall I have no regrets ordering the Pegas 30. LIke others have suggested, I ordered mine from Denny at artercraftersonline.com who gave me a great deal. Additionally, you will not find any company that will provide you with better service.

I will say you should check to see the availability of the Pegas. I ordered mine in January and it didn't arrive until July. You probably won't have a problem if you go with  the 21-inch Pegas. Denny would be able to let you know. By the way, I have not cut anything that required the 30-inch throat, but it's nice knowing it's there if I need it. I did have issues with my previous saw which only had a 16-inch throat.

Doesn't the 30 in Pegas have a large table.  I know I have seen where you can get a larger table for their smaller saw, I assumed it was the one that came on the 30" saw.

I don't think the tables have the same mounting footprint on the 21" vrs 30" saws and so I would bet the larger table doesn't work on the 30" as they designed and offered this table before they came out with the 30" saw option.. Bearwood website is a bit misleading because the bigger table says for Pegas scroll saws.. but doesn't clarify that it fits or doesn't fit the 30 inch saw.. However looking at the photos of the 21" and the photos of the 30" saw.. you can clearly see the mounting points for the table are much farther apart on the 30 inch saw so I would say the bigger table is only for the 21" saw..

The larger table is only for the 21-inch Pegas at this time. They are not producing the larger table for the 30-inch saw at this time according to Denny. I did have him check when I ordered the saw. Guess I should re-check with him since it's been almost a year. I believe the large table for the 21-inch runs around $145. No telling what a larger table for the 30-inch would run when and if they make one. The stock table on the 30-inch is just like the 21-inch and only has about 4-inches from the blade to the front of the table.

I don't think you can go wrong with your decision.. Most the saws you mentioned are good saws and it really boils down to what the saws features are that you like best.. and the service behind that.. Ray and Mike from Seyco have been around and have great service.. Pegas are the new kid on the block and I know most of the distributors so far have done well with customer service.. however not many of them keep "major" parts on hand and ready to send out to the customer should they need something big.. Most just have tension lever parts is all so far.. so people end up getting parts from  none other than Seyco LOL..

Congrats on the new saw, look forward to hearing how you like it once you get some time making dust with it..

Yes congrats.  I think you will be happy.  Like Kevin said I look forward to your impressions once you get it.  If I ever get the VA to come forward with a resolution to my claim, and fork over, I may be buying another saw.  We will see.  I have two inches of paperwork stacked up and a years time.  Nothing yet.

I worked on my claim for a few years and was frustrated.  Then some local group (VA, VFW, ? don't remember who) had a clinic to help with claims.  With that I finally got mine done.  Don't quit.

I went through the same decision process recently. I chose the Pegas for two reasons.

I don't like the magnetic top. It is not as smooth as a waxed steel top. My Pegas saw purchased second hand came with a Seyco magnetic top cut to fit. I tried it for a short time and took it off.

I don't like the table angle adjustment I much prefer the Pegas/EX21 style.
