I am trying to cut the name INDY in an ornament. The letters are thick. When i come to the D i know I need to make a bridge so the whole thing doesn't drop out in the middle.  I need to leave the middle of the D attached to the wood and cut out the rest if that makes sense to you. I am doing something wrong because i can't do it right. I will also need to do it with an A but i know to cut the across part of it short and not go all the way. Any advice for the D?  I am visual and cannot figure it out today. Thanks.

Last week I was sifting thru font that are based from stencils.  My letter problem was an "R".

Using dafont website and selected stencil. I type both the uppercase and lower case "R" and quickly (5 sec) stepped thru pages of fonts. There were a few of methods making bridges.
