Sycamore67 Posted January 24, 2024 Report Posted January 24, 2024 As always Dick, a brilliant piece of art. The composition is great with the pine trees as a frame and very lifelike leopard. You are an inspiration! DickMira 1 Quote

DickMira Posted February 2, 2024 Author Report Posted February 2, 2024 Thanks everyone for the fine comments about this carving project. Wildcats are one of my favorite woodworking subjects. There are now estimated to be less than 4000 of these beautiful animals in the wild. They are threatened by poaching for the illegal trade, human wildlife conflict, habitat loss, and reduction of prey in the mountainous terrain in which they live. Many wildlife organizations, governments, and other organizations are working to help preserve the remaining snow leopard populations. Quote
