barb.j.enders Posted February 24, 2024 Report Posted February 24, 2024 I have a Foredam style motor/flex shaft. It didn't come with a holder and the one for my Dremel doesn't work. The torque of the motor just pops it off the hook. What do others use or made for their Foredam type tools. This is what I have. https://www.vevor.ca/flex-shaft-c_11126/vevor-hanging-flexshaft-mill-jewelry-tools-foot-switch-6-5mm-780w-no-leakage110v-p_010553045782 Quote
jollyred Posted February 24, 2024 Report Posted February 24, 2024 Maybe you could hang it with a carabiner that is wired to the Dremel stand. Shouldn't come loose. Tom barb.j.enders 1 Quote
Sycamore67 Posted February 24, 2024 Report Posted February 24, 2024 I have a Foredom and it hangs on a hook. It run so smooth that there is no problem. barb.j.enders 1 Quote
Wichman Posted February 24, 2024 Report Posted February 24, 2024 instead of a hook I'd use and eyebolt and a chain repair link (stronger than a carabiner but still removable). https://www.amazon.com/Curt-Manufacturing-82930-CURT-Quick/dp/B001EP2936/ref=sr_1_4?crid=13BPWTO7Q7C4X&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.LjUsDNf0jmZvcvg7qZHpujwEKsKW5TxXWdnjz4xaqqPm41QKq8BrPvMTsQzQfH2zS1y41TCaonOhmegTQ0NUZJR2hSmWPtznmqdYh2vo359paeL6HrEASkoHnBrijTJsYBpzLlXtwwnkt-xbaKBBUMoldKkKeLvFglvfDaooQcRQ0S_OVenPJVb-Yh5gayDplvb-29eIK_LhS-5YVkaFMvrS1Lecb04tYronhM6s4wo.zzFfuVBw-XIWDc6TYiqD8Fgou2W42lohI3T-B-oHeck&dib_tag=se&keywords=chain+repair+links&qid=1708791567&sprefix=chain+repair+lin%2Caps%2C211&sr=8-4 Scrappile and barb.j.enders 2 Quote

BadBob Posted February 25, 2024 Report Posted February 25, 2024 I have the Foredom MH-1. It works great, but it ain't cheap. I'm using it with a Grizzly tool. barb.j.enders 1 Quote
Dave Monk Posted February 26, 2024 Report Posted February 26, 2024 Google "planter hanger hook". They work great. barb.j.enders 1 Quote
Sycamore67 Posted February 26, 2024 Report Posted February 26, 2024 This is my solution. They are just hanging on open hooks. I have a Foredom, Dremel and Mastercraft hanging next to my work area. I have not encountered any issues with them vibrating. The Mastercraft has a reciprocating hand piece with carving bits. The Foredom is more powerful but the Dremel works well and has smaller diameter hand pieces which for me are more comfortable. Quote
BadBob Posted February 26, 2024 Report Posted February 26, 2024 I like my Foredom MH-1 because I can move it to where I need it or out of the way when not in use. It's made of steel, so I can use neodymium magnets to hold tools used with it. Primarily the chuck key so it stays with the tool. Quote
Sycamore67 Posted February 26, 2024 Report Posted February 26, 2024 All of the Foredom tools are very good but expensive. I am shocked that my Dremel has lasted so long with only changing the flex shaft once. The Foredom is very powerful and capable of larger bits. Quote
