wombatie Posted January 8 Report Posted January 8 Good afternoon everyone. I thought that seeing that I am always late when someone puts up a breakfast it was time I did and afternoon tea. How about some cute little sandwiches, smoked salmon and maybe some cucumber followed by some tiny cakes or scones with jam, (jelly) and cream. You can have your choice of coffee or Earl Grey tea. Help yourselves. Marg Scrolling Steve, OCtoolguy, danny and 3 others 5 1 Quote
Dan Posted January 8 Report Posted January 8 Thanks, Marg. Tea and a scone sounds perfect. We got 8 inches (20 cm) of snow a few days ago. Current temperature is 24 F (-rC) and dropping to -2F (-19C) tonight. Brr. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
barb.j.enders Posted January 8 Report Posted January 8 It is breakfast time as I am reading this, but I would love a scone with my morning coffee. Thanks Marg. Warming up here today. Supposed to be -9 and tomorrow -2. Sure beats the -29! (Celsius temps) OCtoolguy 1 Quote

OCtoolguy Posted January 8 Report Posted January 8 It's 68 and windy. Fires burning everywhere. Mega-million dollar mansions in ash heaps. Very dire situation for many. We need a blizzard. wombatie, MarieC, ChelCass and 1 other 4 Quote
Dak0ta52 Posted January 8 Report Posted January 8 While I'm not much of a breakfast eater, I'd be happy to pull up a chair at your breakfast table, Marg. As far as weather, it's 39F here at the moment but colder weather with ice is projected for the weekend. 1 hour ago, OCtoolguy said: It's 68 and windy. Fires burning everywhere. I still work full-time and rarely am able to catch the news but I did see a glimpse last night of the CA fires. Hopefully your are safe. I know how scrollers have a build up of kindling laying around. OCtoolguy 1 Quote

Roberta Moreton Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 (edited) Thanks Marg! I needed the hot tea! We had ice this morning! Everything was covered in ice, every branch, twig, blade of grass….The roads were scary. No internet, we briefly lost power! Edited January 12 by Roberta Moreton wombatie and barb.j.enders 1 1 Quote
