Popular Post FrankEV Posted March 14 Popular Post Report Posted March 14 I’m not sure if I will have anything to post in the next week or so, as well as the following six weeks, because we are getting prepared to go, and wil be on a long vacation trip. It is a once in a lifetime (at least in my lifetime) "bucket list" type vacation trip. Our trip begins in early April with a five-hour one-way car rental ride from our home in Ormond Beach Florida down to Miami Florida where we are booked on a 24-day MSC cruise leaving from Port of Miami. The cruise will spend six days in the Caribbean, then five days at sea crossing over to the Mediterranean where we will continue the cruise stopping at ports in Portugal, Italy, France and Spain where the cruise will end, and we will disembark, in Barcelona Spain. We will stay a week in Barcelona during which timr we have a pre-planned quite busy schedule of touring, sightseeing and even a 3-hour Paella cooking class one evening, that culminates with a 5-course meal. At the end of the week, we will take a six-hour train ride to Paris France where we will again spend another week that is again packed with pre-scheduled tours and sightseeing. Our first day in Paris is a tour and fancy lunch/dinner at the Eiffel Tower. Also, we have been fortunate to get tickets for a tour, later in the week, of the recently reopened Notre-Dame Cathedral. And like in Barcelona, one of the days we have booked a Paris Evening Cooking Class that begins with an afternoon Market shopping visit, after which we will learn about French food traditions and flavors. The class will once again end with a 4-course meal that we have helped prepare. FYI, along with making sawdust, all kinds of cooking is something I realy enjoy doing. I like to try new recipes and add my own twists to tried-and-true everyday meals. The trip ends with a very long flight home, stopping in Boston for a 4-hour layover before our flight to Orlando, Florida followed by an Uber ride to our home in Ormond Beach. I'm beting we will be very tired, and I doubt I will get into my shop the next morning! For most of the vacation I will have access to Wi-Fi on my phone and I will be able to check in now and then, and maybe even add comments, but I will not be posting any new work, for obvious reasons, util sometime in late May. I just had a check-up with my doctor, and she said I'm the healthiest OLD MAN she knows. So, this post is just to assure all that I plan to be back making sawdust in about eight weeks.
