Great Blue Heron

Another project done.  Took longer because I had family in for a week. Judy Gale Roberts pattern.  Woods used:  Aspen, Poplar, White Limba, Butternut, Walnut, Maple Philippine Mahogany.  Finished with two coats of Walrus Oil.  Aprox 18" x 22".

Nice job Barb. You are doing great with your Intarsia, Judy would have loved seeing it. We lived on two different lakes over the past 25+ years. (Moved from lake anbout a year and a half ago now though.)  Both places we had blue herons that regularly camped out on our boat dock. They are beautiful creatures. Which is why I  bought that pattern years ago, one day perhaps I’ll get to it. (live has been in my way for the last two years but finally getting my saws and sanders set back up in our new location.) hopefully I can get back to some scrolling and Intarsia soon. Seeing you work and others gives me motivation,

I don't see them very often but when I do I am in awe at the majesty of them.  Good luck with getting your shop set back up.  Hopefully it is smooth cutting from now on.
