  1. Wow Paul.............you do some awesome work..............I love your album! Yep, that's one of my favorite Muleskinner patterns! He's a member of FPBD too and I think a couple others. Christina
  2. I don't know the first thing about anything you said but I'm excited about your project nonetheless lol. Hopefully you can ask around and find a reputable place to get what you need made. I would be worried about safety myself....whether an adult or a child is using it. What does black locust look like? I've never even heard of that wood before...........nothing like letting my stupid hang out lol. But you never know unless you ask. Is it a really hard wood like oak? Thanks so much again for taking us along with you on your project! Christina
  3. Might be worth trying Travis..............you never can tell unless you try. Christina
  4. What a fantastic tutorial Blame............I might have to give this project a go myself now that I know how to do it! Thanks so much for helping out..............me too. This is such a great place! And you are so right. Thank you. Christina
  5. LOL Travis............I just get excited when I see old friends on here! I love meeting new friends too. Christina

I'm another one who loves to dabble in just about everything. I'm just learning to scroll but hoping to learn everything lol. I plan to incorporate my woodburning with scrolling too. Have a great day and I look forward to getting to know you better. Christina
  7. Wow Gary..........you are organised!!! I'm too much of a brain fart to keep up with a sysytem like that lolol. Christina

Jump right in and introduce yourself...........I'm sure you know others here too. I hope you will share some of your patterns and work with us all.............folks he does great work! Christina

  11. Great idea Mal...........I might just have to give that a try. Thanks everyone! I use ebay alot.....you can save a bunch as long as you're careful who you deal with. I buy alot of my wood there. Christina
  12. I put my patterns on disk. I create folders on my desktop for my patterns, and patterns for each forum I belong to. Then I put them on disk........date the disk and list folders on it. It still takes time to find a particular one but it works for me lol. I want to get a couple flash drives to store them all on too. When I decide what patterns I'm going to attempt............for scrolling or woodburning...........I put them in their respective folders. Then I print them out one at a time as I use them. Christina
  13. I would think you'd use the same oil that you would use on wooden spoons/utensils...............don't really know for sure. You're not eating off of it so any oil is probably good. Christina
  14. Great question Deb............I'd love to know the answer myself! Wouldn't that be a cool thing to have. I use my Dremel for just everything. Sorry I can't help but I sure hope someone knows. Christina
  15. Thanks for the info Sue..........I knew there had to be a special oil to use but was at a loss lol. I'd love to make some wooden spoons myself one of these days so I'll tuck this info away for future use! Christina
  16. Hi and welcome Mike...........I've seen your work before and it's just fantastic! I love your site. 17. Thanks Rick.......I might just give it a go. Christina
  18. I never thought about things like that............great info Blame, thanks. I've seen things made of olive wood.......really beautiful stuff. Christina
  19. Yep olive oil does go rancid after awhile..........any oils like that will.......canola, vegetable, etc... I'm not sure what oil you would use. If it's something that is used alot then I would think cooking oils would be fine as long as they were washed frequently and reoiled.....otherwise I don't have a clue. Sorry. Christina
  20. I haven't done any portrait style yet..........but I think I'd probably stick to standard frame sizes so I can use a purchased frame too. Christina
  21. Hi and Welcome! You lucky thing you lolol. I would love to see your first projects.............I love to see the goodies! Congrats on the new saw too and the great hubby! It's never too much in my opinion............I do lots of things......and usually all at one time lol. Jump in and have a great time. If you have questions or need help there is always someone around to help. Christina
  22. Wow great cutting Travis..............you did a really wonderful job on it. Great pattern too Clayton. Thanks so much for sharing it with us. Christina
  23. Deb, I think any kind you want to use basically is okay. My mom made some out of mahogany once............really pretty. I think it just depends on what you want them to look like. Christina
  24. Travis....paper burning is like woodburning only on paper. Brian does some really awesome ones. You can also burn on leather..........which he has also done. Christina
  25. Thanks very much for the kind words Rick............I appreciate it. Christina
