  1. Nice work in your album Simon. The leopard is beautiful. I like the dragon...it looks very fragile in places...a challenging cutting. Thanks for showing us.
  2. Very nice cutting, Blame! Your did a great job on the letters. Letters are not easy to do with a spiral blade. Thanks for showing us.
  3. Vector, I agree with Messman....just widening a few bridges will make for a better cut. You did a fantastic job on your first pattern! Keep up the great work.
  4. Nice work in your album, Edward. Thanks for showing us.

  8. Congrats on your new saw and hobby. It is an addicting hobby and a very satisfying one. I have the first thing I cut on a shelf above my workbench so I can see how much progress I've made in just a few short years.
  9. Your new scrolling station looks great! I hope your back feels better soon.
  10. What a great way to use your scraps! They are all very pretty. Thanks for showing us.
  11. Hi greasemonkey, I have the coke pattern that was made by Vortex a couple of years ago. You can find him on http://www.scrollsawer.com/forum/ if you're a member there you can send him a pm because of the copyright and trademark he cannot post it.
  12. I have a tray that attaches to my RBI Hawk that has4 round blade holders in it...thats where I put my used blades that may still have a little life just in case I run out of a certain size. I store my good blades in drawers in my cabinet on my workbench.....sizes are labeled on the outside of each drawer. Just take the drawer with the size I'm going to use to my saw and when I'm done I put the drawer back. The rest of the drawers hold picture hangers, my dremel router bits, glue sticks, dowels, and numerous other things. I have never found the need to buy anything else when the drawers are the perfect size for my blades. Why would you want a round tube? They are too hard to get your blades out! Just my opinion! Thanks for listening!
  13. Hi Fran. Nice to meet you. Don't be shy...just join right in. We're all interested in your projects....we love pictures! Any tips and tricks you can give us from your years of scrolling we will gladly accept! I am also one who scrolls anything that catches my eye! Looking forward to seeing your work.
  14. Your box is beautiful! I like the hearts you used as drawer pulls. Great finish, too.
  15. I have a 160 gig Pasport that I store all of my patterns on. I have them separated into various folders. If a pattern doesn't seem to fit anywhere it goes in Miscellaneous. Every couple of month I will look at that folder to see if there are several that would fit into a specific category and make a new folder for them. I also have a section for the patterns in both magazines I subscribe to. I have a photo of the project instead of the pattern and they are also divided into categories and have the issue and date of issue in the name. I did this because I was forever looking through the magazines trying to find what I wanted.....thats a lot of magazines and a total waste of time. After being in office management for over 35 years I tend to organize in my computer the same way I would in a filing cabinet! Sue
  16. Deb, I use Butcher Block Oil on all of my wooden utensils and bowls. It will not go rancid like the regular vegetable oil. You will have to touch up your utensils once in a while after washing a few times. Just check with your local Lowes or Home Depot to find out what can be used that is food safe. http://woodworker.com/cgi-bin/fullpres. ... agod_mbL0g
