    I have sent several wooden items to Australia over the last 2 years without issue. The quarantine is for raw unprocessed wood items, finished furniture, and things like your boxes and my banks are considered finished goods and are exempt from the quarantine. DW

    Andrew great job my friend. You need to see if they know someone going to Australia then you could put it in the post to them and they would take it to Australia. I am sure it would be cheaper than sending it off in the post. Glad the boxes are proving popular there. Thanks for sharing them with us. DW

    BLO is Boiled Linseed OIl. It is one of the hardening oils that is used for finishes. Plain linseed oil however does not harden. It is easy to apply and has the added advantage that the oil finish soaks into the wood then hardens. It makes the grain stand out and can darken the wood a little. BLO has little to no offensive or dangerous odors to deal with and is easy to apply and store. Hope that answers your questions Ralph. DW
